For gardening enthusiasts with rich planting experience, growing potted cyclamen well is not a very difficult task. But for ordinary home growers, wanting to grow cyclamen well and let it bloom beautiful flowers smoothly as expected, they often run into quite a few problems during care.

In fact, as long as everyone can master the care techniques well and manage with care, things often become very simple. Growing cyclamen, the ultimate goal is to let it bloom smoothly, so that we can admire its beauty. To let cyclamen smoothly produce more flowers, usually we only need to focus on doing the following four aspects of work well.

1. Besides being able to use tubers to propagate, cyclamen can also be grown into small potted seedlings by sowing seeds. For most places, the sowing time is generally best chosen in mid-November. Because in this way, the small seedlings grown from cyclamen usually will not be affected by outside temperature and light in June-July of summer.

And if we sow in other seasons, although it is also very easy to breed small seedlings, after all, cyclamen has relatively strong vitality. But in this way, it will often leave its protection period, and when it encounters high summer temperatures it will enter a dormant state, thus affecting its flowering time. If sown in November, basically by this time the next year it can enter the early flowering stage, and from January to May of the following year it can enter the full flowering stage.

2. If sown in November, by April of the next year it can put out 3 leaves and at the same time grow a corm about 0.5 cm in diameter. At that time, we can transplant the small seedlings into small flower pots with a 3-inch caliber for care.

Generally, fill a small flower pot with soil close to the rim, then dig a small hole in the soil, and then plant the cyclamen seedling into it. But when planting, be careful to let the corm remain exposed on the surface of the potting soil, and then water thoroughly. During this period, the most suitable temperature is maintained between 15°C-20°C, and shade should be provided promptly at noon.

3. After potting the cyclamen seedlings, what we need to do well afterward is the care and management work. Note that watering should not be too much, and water should only be given after the potting soil has become dry; you can keep using a dilute liquid fertilizer once a week, and during the peak growth season you can appropriately increase the fertilizer concentration a little. After entering June of summer, when the temperature reaches as high as 30°C, in addition to strengthening shading, fertilization should also be stopped promptly.

4. Cyclamen flowering has relatively high temperature requirements. During the flowering period, try as much as possible to keep the temperature at 20°C, and at the same time pay attention to smooth environmental ventilation and good light transmission. But because after the flowering period the plant will enter a dormant state, we should promptly reduce the watering frequency, keep watering once a week, and keep the potting soil slightly moist. At the same time, place the flower pot in a cool and ventilated place, and be careful to avoid rain, so that it can safely pass through the dormant period.
