To solve the problem of a tilting money tree, we need to pay attention to temperature control, watering control, fertilizer control, and pest and disease prevention. Keep the temperature stable at around 20-32°C, water by letting the soil dry out between waterings, switch fertilizers according to the plant's condition, and carry out pest and disease prevention promptly.

How to Fix a Tilting Money Tree

1. Control the Temperature

The money tree is a plant that is not cold-tolerant. In winter, if you do not provide it with protective measures and let this plant stay in cold below 8°C for a long time, it will show large-scale lodging. We should move the plant indoors to a warm place for care and keep the temperature stable between 20-32°C.

2. Control Watering

The roots of the money tree are fleshy tubers, so it is not tolerant of waterlogging and can easily rot from standing water. If we water too much, it will cause rotting and lodging. We need to promptly change the soil and drain the water, cut off the rotten rhizomes and replace them with new dry soil, and reasonably regulate the watering frequency to control water.

3. Control Fertilizing

The money tree needs different fertilizer emphases at different stages of growth and development, so when fertilizing it, we should pay attention to the plant's needs. If it lacks potassium, soft branches and lodging will occur. We should promptly supplement some potassium, applying thin fertilizer frequently in small amounts multiple times.

4. Prevent and Control Pests and Diseases

The money tree sometimes also develops lodging symptoms due to some pathogenic bacteria, or lodging occurs because pests have gnawed on the rhizomes. At this time, we should take it out of the pot and remove the soil, get rid of insect eggs, pests, and so on, and use a carbendazim solution to thoroughly disinfect and sterilize the plant, then let it dry and repot it.
