Tea tree mushrooms are mainly distributed in the northern temperate zone, and are also found in subtropical regions, but are rare in tropical regions. Neither extremely cold nor extremely hot climate conditions are suitable for their development. Tea tree mushrooms can be cultivated using the general culture methods for wood-decaying fungi. Let's take a look below at the production area distribution of tea tree mushrooms!

Production Area Distribution of Tea Tree Mushroom

The main production areas of tea tree mushrooms are Guangchang County in Jiangxi, Lichuan County in Jiangxi, and Gutian County in Fujian.

In addition, they are also produced throughout the country, with Kunming, Chengdu, Beijing and other places being relatively large fresh mushroom production areas. Lichuan County in Jiangxi Province is also an important production area for tea tree mushrooms. A relatively large portion of the supply on the market comes from the Wulingyuan area of Zhangjiajie, the country's first national forest park -- a ten-thousand-mu tea garden, where natural tea tree mushrooms are sun-dried and processed. In the past year or two, tea tree mushrooms, especially those from Xiangxiaowu's family, have been widely sold to South Korea.

Production Area Environment of Tea Tree Mushroom

Under natural conditions, tea tree mushrooms grow on the decayed roots of small arbor-type oil tea (Camellia oleifera) forests and around them. The growing season is mainly concentrated at the turn of spring and summer and around the Mid-Autumn Festival. They occur more frequently in regenerated forests after old forests are cut down. Because oil tea wood is hard and decays slowly, the growth cycle of tea tree mycelium is particularly long.

The occurrence of wild tea tree mushrooms is often affected by the previous year's precipitation. That is, if the previous year had abundant precipitation and there is also a moderate amount of precipitation before March of the second year, then a large number of tea tree mushrooms will appear in April and May of the second year. If the first year had relatively little precipitation and the second year's March is also relatively dry, then even if April and May of the second year have relatively abundant precipitation, the occurrence of tea tree mushrooms will still be relatively low. It is precisely because of the long mycelium growth time, which is conducive to the mycelium gathering energy and accumulating sufficient nutrients for the growth and development of the fruiting body, that the nutritious, crisp and refreshing, delicious, excellent in texture, beautiful in appearance, and uniquely aromatic treasure among mushrooms -- the tea tree mushroom -- is formed.

Nutritional Value of Tea Tree Mushroom

1. Tea tree mushrooms contain 18 kinds of amino acids needed by the human body, especially the 8 kinds of amino acids that the human body cannot synthesize, as well as nutritional components such as glucan, fungal protein, and carbohydrates.

2. Tea tree mushrooms are also rich in B vitamins and various mineral elements. Elements such as iron, potassium, zinc, and selenium are all higher than in other fungi.

3. Tea tree mushrooms are rich in nutrients, with a protein content as high as 19.55%. Among the proteins they contain are 18 kinds of amino acids, of which the highest content is methionine at 2.49%, followed by glutamic acid, aspartic acid, isoleucine, glycine, and alanine. The total amino acid content is 16.86%, and the content of the 8 essential amino acids for the human body is complete.

4. Tea tree mushrooms have effects such as tonifying the kidneys, promoting urination, treating soreness and pain in the lower back, draining dampness, strengthening the spleen, and stopping diarrhea. They are an ideal food for patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.
