The Latest Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Techniques and Methods Tutorial
Mushrooms are a type of fungal plant, and their varieties are also numerous, and there are more and more every year. Every year, new mushroom varieties are constantly being born. What everyone usually eats at the dinner table is called oyster mushroom. This kind of mushroom is the one we see most often. Besides it, enoki mushroom is also very common in our daily life. So below, the editor will tell everyone how to cultivate oyster mushrooms!
1. Oyster mushrooms have many culture sources. The stems of many crops and vegetables can be used to cultivate oyster mushrooms. Things like sawdust, leaves and straw can all be used to cultivate oyster mushrooms. Most of the time, straw and cottonseed hulls are used as the cultivation raw materials for oyster mushrooms.
2. The sterilization step is very important. The feed bag is 22-25 cm wide, of cling film quality. Cut it into 40-50 cm plastic tubes, put the culture material into the tube, and the bag must be disinfected in a steamer. Steaming it in 100 degree steam for about ten hours is enough.
3. Making the culture material is also very simple. After weighing the culture material raw materials and so on, place them on open ground, then prepare dry material and water at a 1:1.5 ratio, pour it in, then use a rake to stir evenly. After stirring evenly, squeeze the culture material tightly with your hand. If there is water but it cannot drip out, it means the water was added just right.
4. Next is inoculating the mycelium. For inoculation, use tweezers to take out the spawn from the bottle and put it into the bag. Put 3 pieces of spawn into one opening, each about the size of a bean. The tweezers used to take the spawn must first be disinfected before use. For disinfection, wiping with alcohol or wiping with potassium permanganate are both fine. During inoculation, stay calm and try not to make any movement. Do not even talk, to avoid any possibility of bacteria invading.
5. Protect the mycelium. After inoculation is finished, place the plastic bags in a ventilated and breathable place and let them slowly spawn-run. In winter and early spring, more can be placed, generally arranged in double rows, then cover with cling film, or cover with straw curtains. In autumn or late spring, double rows cannot be used; only single rows can be used.
6. The final management and protection work must also be done well. After the mycelium inside is fully grown, they can be taken to the fruiting room, then placed in single rows, with 80 cm between each row, and ventilated once a day for about an hour to keep the air in the fruiting room fresh. A spray bottle can be used to spray water to increase air humidity.
The above is the latest oyster mushroom cultivation technique. Isn't it very simple? Cultivating oyster mushrooms yourself is still quite simple. Putting them in bags can reduce the invasion of bacteria and other substances, which can increase the success rate. Use bags as much as possible.
