How to grow bamboo fungus? A detailed explanation of the latest bamboo fungus cultivation methods
Many of us may not know much about bamboo fungus. It is an edible wild fungus, and in many places people also call it bamboo ginseng, which shows that its nutrient content is extremely high, so artificially cultivated bamboo fungus gradually appeared. So today let us take a look at how this edible fungus, bamboo fungus, is grown.
1. Growing conditions
The conditions for growing bamboo fungus are rather demanding. Since there are now several different cultivation methods for bamboo fungus, the growing conditions will also differ slightly. First, choose a good planting site. In general, it is best to plant in a place with sufficient water, fertile soil, and a certain slope with shelter from the wind. Both temperature and humidity must be kept within a certain range so that the bamboo fungus mycelium can grow and develop normally.
2. Cultivation methods
⟦NL>At present, the three most commonly used methods for growing bamboo fungus are block pressing cultivation, direct bedding cultivation, and indoor box cultivation. The block pressing method mainly involves pressing the bamboo fungus mycelium into blocks and then placing them into the soil for planting. Bamboo fungus grown this way is more concentrated and has a shorter growth cycle. Direct bedding cultivation mainly uses a prepared nutrient material for planting. This gives a relatively large area of fungus emergence and can improve the utilization rate of the fungus bed, but the growth cycle is rather long. Finally, there is indoor box cultivation, which requires making wooden boxes in advance, then pouring in the nutrient material, and then inoculating. This makes management and control more convenient and can effectively improve the quality of the bamboo fungus.
3. Nutrient material preparation
The main components of the nutrient material are sawdust and bran, followed by 1 percent white granulated sugar, 2 percent lime powder, and other micro-fertilizers totaling about 1 percent. Then add water and stir. Add water according to the principle of a 1 to 2 ratio, then stir evenly. Note that it needs to be stirred about once every three hours. Generally after about three times, the material can be loaded. After the nutrient material is prepared, it needs to be loaded according to the different cultivation methods. Finally, the loaded nutrient material is sterilized at high temperature or high pressure, and then it is ready for inoculation.
4. Inoculation management
First, we need to select good bamboo fungus spawn. Then, before entering the sterile room for inoculation, we need to put on sterile clothing and disinfect the tools and equipment to be used for inoculation before inoculation can be carried out. During inoculation, it is usually done at reasonable intervals, generally with 8 cm between rows and about 6 cm between plants, arranged neatly on the cultivation bed, and finally gently covered with a layer of bamboo leaves.
5. Fungus emergence management
Fungus emergence management refers to the process of the bamboo fungus mycelium developing. The main issues are the management of temperature, humidity, light, and air circulation. First, after the mycelium grows, cover it with a layer of fine soil with relatively sufficient fertility, then cover it with a layer of bamboo leaves. At the same time, ensure at least good air circulation in the fungus emergence room every day, keep the temperature at around 24 degrees, and keep the humidity between 80 percent and 95 percent. Then you can wait for the bamboo fungus to grow out.
6. Precautions
First, note that the nutrients for cultivation are mainly bamboo leaves and bamboo poles, etc. Try not to use chemical fertilizers, and mainly supplement a small amount of trace element fertilizer as appropriate. Second, the growing temperature must not be lower than 15 degrees and must not be higher than 35 degrees. Then, the humidity in the air must not be lower than 70 percent, and the humidity in the nutrient material must not be lower than 50 percent. Also, the light for the growth of bamboo fungus is best diffused light, but the light must not be too weak. Finally, pay attention to cleaning up miscellaneous fungi in the planting site and carrying out pest and disease control.
