What to Do When Snake Plant Leaves Curl? Causes and Solutions
1. Water
(1) Cause: Water involves two different situations. The first is a lack of water. If we forget to water for a long time, so that the potting soil remains very dry for an extended period, then this plant's leaves are very likely to become wrinkled or shriveled. The other is the complete opposite: we watered too much, so much that the roots were drowned, and then the leaves also easily curl up.
(2) Solution: We can judge which situation is causing it based on whether the potting soil is dry or wet. If there is too little water, we can first spray some water on the leaves. Note: spray water first, do not water; if you water immediately, it can easily cause root rot. Once the plant's leaves return to normal, we can water a little. If we watered too much, then we need to reduce the amount and frequency of watering according to the situation, or adjust it according to the specific season. If it is spring, summer or autumn, considering that it grows relatively fast, you can water a little more; however, in winter, you absolutely must not water too much, and you should keep the soil as dry as possible, which is better.
2. Temperature
(1) Cause: If the temperature is too low, especially in winter, and the plant suffers cold damage, it is also possible to make its leaves curl. At this time, we can observe the base of the leaves; if this part has completely rotted, then that is the cause.
(2) Solution: For this cause, we need to take some cold-protection measures from late autumn to winter, ensuring the temperature stays above ten degrees.
