The Latest Technical Method Tutorial for Spring Fertilization of Rapeseed
After the beginning of spring, rapeseed enters a vigorous period of reproductive growth and vegetative growth, with an extremely high demand for nutrients, so fertilization must be timely and rationally adjusted according to the soil, climate and pre-spring fertilization conditions. So how should rapeseed be fertilized in spring? Let's find out together with the editor.
1. Apply spring fertilizer early
Applying spring fertilizer early can promote more branching and earlier budding in rapeseed that grew insufficiently in winter, especially in rapeseed fields where base fertilizer was insufficient and winter fertilizer was not applied; applying spring fertilizer early is the key point for achieving high yields. Spring fertilizer is generally applied at 15-20 jin of ammonium bicarbonate per mu, or 6-7 jin of urea dissolved in water and then applied; never apply it directly, so as to avoid root damage from concentrated fertilizer and a counterproductive effect.
⟦NL>2. Skillfully apply bolting fertilizer
The budding and bolting stage of rapeseed is the key period for spring growth and building the framework, and at this time rapeseed has an extremely high demand for fertilizer, accounting for about half of the fertilizer requirement of the entire growth period. For plots where base fertilizer and winter fertilizer were insufficient and the seedlings are weak, it should be applied early and heavily; when the bolt is 3-5 cm high, 750-1000 kg of human manure and urine, 4-5 kg of urea or 20 kg of ammonium bicarbonate per mu can be watered on. For plots where the seedlings are excessively vigorous, bolting fertilizer should be applied late and lightly to avoid excessive vegetative growth.
3. Supplementary application of chemical fertilizer
Applying an appropriate amount of flower fertilizer during the flowering period of rapeseed can make rapeseed set more seeds and increase seed number and weight, with a significant effect on increasing yield. When the rapeseed bolt grows to 50-60 cm, choose a sunny and windless afternoon to spray flower fertilizer; for plots with poor growth, 300 g of urea can be mixed into a potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution and sprayed together.
4. Increase the application of potassium and boron fertilizers
Increasing potassium fertilizer can enhance the stress resistance, cold resistance, disease resistance and waterlogging resistance of rapeseed, and after increasing potassium fertilizer, the yield increase effect is obvious; it is generally applied in February-March, broadcasting 150-200 kg of plant ash or 15 kg of potassium chloride per mu. In addition, rapeseed blooming but not setting seed is caused by boron deficiency, and applying boron fertilizer can prevent this phenomenon; it is generally sprayed once each at the bolting stage and early flowering stage, using 50-100 g of borax per mu each time, diluted with 50-60 kg of water and then sprayed.
