Management during the peanut growing period is still very important. Good management can greatly increase your harvest, since many losses are caused by inadequate management. So what are the main things to pay attention to when growing peanuts? How should management be carried out? Let's learn about it together below.

1. Weeding

Weeding is something that must be done when growing peanuts, since weeds still grow very quickly. Peanut weeding pays attention to these points: careful weeding in the early stage, rough weeding in the middle stage, and removing large weeds in the late stage. Peanut seedlings are relatively weak when young, so weeding should be more careful, and even slightly larger weeds should be cleared away so as not to hinder the growth of the peanut seedlings. In the middle stage, the peanut seedlings already have a certain size, and ordinary small weeds cannot threaten their growth, so it is enough to roughly clear away some of the larger ones. In the late stage, the peanut seedlings are basically fully formed, so it is enough to simply clear away some of the larger weeds that are growing well.

2. Clearing diseased plants

During the peanut growing period, there are always some useless peanut seedlings in the field, and these diseased plants need to be cleared away in time, otherwise they will affect the growth of other seedlings. It is best to also clear away some seedlings that look relatively abnormal, because no one can judge whether they have become diseased. For those that have already shown signs of rot, even more attention should be paid, because such seedlings generally have a certain infectivity. After clearing the diseased plants, make a mark and pay more attention afterward to the growth of the peanut seedlings near that diseased plant.

3. Loosening the soil

Everyone knows that peanut seedlings need the soil loosened, but many people may have some problems with the way they loosen the soil, because they are used to loosening the entire plot. In fact, it is not necessary to do this every time you loosen the soil. Apart from the greater workload, the benefit is not very obvious either. Except for the rosette stage and the pod-setting stage, when all the soil needs to be loosened, at other times it is enough to just dig the soil slightly between the plants. This is what gives the highest benefit, so when loosening the soil, pay more attention to the growth stage of the peanut seedlings, and then loosen the soil.

4. Controlling density

There is one easily overlooked point when growing peanuts, namely that after planting they are no longer moved. In fact, this is a mistaken idea. After planting, check the growth of the peanut seedlings more often. If the growth in some places where seedlings are relatively concentrated is not ideal, you can appropriately move some seedlings. That way, even if some seedlings do not survive after transplanting, it is still better than having this cluster of peanut seedlings produce no harvest later on. Peanut seedlings that are too dense will have a relatively poor final harvest, and this point should be given special attention.

The above are some of the things to pay attention to when growing peanuts. In fact, growing peanuts is not simple, and many things are relatively easy to overlook. If you want high yields, you always have to put in more effort. I hope this brings everyone some help.
