Peanuts are very popular in China, so basically someone is growing peanuts all year round in China now. And the current time is exactly the time for planting autumn peanuts, and some areas suitable for planting autumn peanuts have also been busy one after another. When planting autumn peanuts, high yield is what many people hope for. So how can autumn peanuts be grown for high yield? Below, the editor brings you the high-yield planting techniques for autumn peanuts. Let's take a look!

1. Level the land

Peanut is a deep-rooted crop, and its roots are generally distributed in the soil layer. Therefore, we must first choose a soil suitable for the growth of autumn peanuts, ensuring that the soil layer is deep and the plow layer is loose, which is conducive to the peanut roots penetrating deeply. Then plow the soil deeply by about 22 cm, generally about half a month in advance. Plow the soil deeply, harrow it broken and level, improve the soil structure, and improve soil quality. Then cultivate in beds to increase the light-receiving area of the peanut plants and keep the soil temperature. Keep the bed height at about 12 cm to ensure the normal growth of autumn peanuts.

2. Apply enough base fertilizer

The base fertilizer for autumn peanuts is generally mainly fully decomposed farmyard manure, combined with an appropriate amount of phosphate fertilizer and plant ash and other materials. Autumn peanuts usually enter the flowering stage about three weeks after full seedling emergence. The vegetative growth period is generally not longer than that of spring peanuts. Moreover, the sowing time of autumn peanuts is generally in the high-temperature and rainy season. This environment will speed up the decomposition of fertilizer, making it easy to consume, so it is necessary to ensure that sufficient base fertilizer is applied. Otherwise, in the early growth stage, autumn peanuts will show poor growth due to lack of nutrients. Under normal circumstances, apply about 3000 kg of farmyard manure and about 20 kg of superphosphate per mu, combined with an appropriate amount of plant ash, peanut bran, etc.

3. Control the sowing amount

The growth period of autumn peanuts is not very long, and the productivity of a single plant is also relatively poor. Therefore, if you want high yield, you can only rely on the population, and you must also maintain good air permeability and light transmittance to improve the productivity of individuals. So autumn peanut planting should mainly use double-row double-seed planting, ensuring sufficient plant number per mu and improving the planting advantage of marginal effects. For double-row double-seed planting, make beds about 80 cm wide, with row trenches about 35 cm. Control the average row spacing at about 40 cm, and the distance between sowing holes at 15 cm, sowing about two seeds per sowing hole.

4. Sowing time

Because autumn peanuts are sown in autumn and harvested in winter, the sowing period is relatively strict. If sown too early, the seeds are in a high-temperature and high-humidity environment, the stems and branches of the seedlings are thin and weak, and weak seedlings are very likely to form, with relatively poor disease resistance and easy premature aging. If sown too late, then in the late growth stage of peanuts the temperature drops, which has a very great impact on the growth of peanut pods, leading to reduced yield. Therefore, we should adjust the sowing time according to different planting areas, but under normal circumstances, the suitable sowing period for autumn peanuts is generally during the period from the Beginning of Autumn to the End of Heat.

The above is a brief introduction to the high-yield planting techniques for autumn peanuts. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only, and I hope it can help everyone!
