How long does it generally take for hydroponic tulips to bloom?
1. Blooming time
Its blooming time is not uniform. Some bloom earlier, with flowers opening as early as early March, while some bloom later, not opening until late April. Its blooming period is not very long, generally around ten days or so. If the latitude is different, its blooming time is also different.
Generally speaking, it opens around 8 a.m., so if you are an avid flower lover, you will have to get up early to see this fleeting beautiful sight.
2. How long after hydroponics does it bloom
Usually, today's flower merchants subject the bulbs to a period of low-temperature treatment before selling them, so after you buy the bulbs you can use them directly for hydroponics. Because the climate varies in different places across the country, after planting you should adjust the temperature to within the range of 5°C-20°C to help it grow better.
If it is cared for properly, it only needs about thirty to forty days to bloom, but if the growing conditions you give it are not so suitable, then it will need a longer time to bloom, possibly around fifty days.
Normally we can start growing it during the Spring Festival, but if you want it to bloom during the Spring Festival, it is best to start growing it in mid-to-late November of the previous year.
3. How to promote blooming
1. Light
Within 15 days after your flowers are hydroponically grown, you should give them appropriate shading from the sun; doing so can help them grow better.
2. Fertilizing
During its growth period, you can stop adding fertilizer, but if there is not enough nitrogen fertilizer, the leaf color will not be very dark; if the amount is too much, it will grow a lot of leaves in vain, inhibiting flower development.
3. Watering
After the bulbs you bought have grown leaves, you can spray some water on the leaf surface to humidify the surrounding air, especially after the flower buds appear, you should maintain the water supply. After the water in the hydroponic container evaporates, add water in time. After the flowers bloom, you can appropriately control the water.
