The pineapple is a well-known tropical fruit, honored as one of the four famous fruits of Lingnan. At present, the main pineapple-growing areas in China are Taiwan, China, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Hainan, and other regions with relatively warm climates all year round. There are more and more pineapples on the market, but they have always been very popular. So today the editor will mainly introduce to you: some precautions to keep in mind during the pineapple growing process. Let's take a look.

1. Soil

Pineapples can be planted in ordinary soil, and when choosing a pineapple planting site, we do not need to consider too much. But we should note that poor, heavily clayey soil, soil with poor drainage and poor permeability, and soil with a low groundwater table cannot be used for planting pineapples. Finally, and most importantly, the soil is best slightly acidic and must not be on the alkaline side.

2. Temperature

The pineapple is a typical representative among tropical fruits, so its temperature requirements are relatively high, which is why many regions cannot grow pineapples because the temperature does not meet the conditions. In general, the annual average temperature of a pineapple planting area should be between 24 and 27 degrees, and the most suitable temperature for pineapple growth is between 25 and 35 degrees. It can grow in environments with temperatures from 15 to 40 degrees, but the lowest temperature must not fall below 10 degrees; when the temperature is below 15 degrees, the growth rate will be affected, and at the same time the highest temperature must not exceed 43 degrees.

3. Water

The pineapple has strong drought resistance, but this does not mean its growth does not need water, so its water requirements during growth are quite strict. The most suitable water supply for pineapple growth, that is, annual rainfall, is between 1,000 and 1,500. When there is a water shortage, we need to water appropriately; at this time the leaf surface of the plant will appear red-yellow. Finally, excessive rainfall will cause the plant's root system to rot and seriously affect pineapple yield, so what we need to pay attention to is timely drainage, and when watering, pay attention to the amount of water and by no means overwater.

Fertilization is key to pineapple growth, and many people use the wrong fertilizer when fertilizing pineapples, or the amount is wrong, or the timing is wrong. Generally, the first topdressing is carried out after the first loosening of the soil, mainly with organic fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, with 80 to 100 grams per plant, followed in time by a ternary compound fertilizer, usually at about 40 to 50 grams. At the same time, note that after the first topdressing, fertilizer needs to be applied once about every half month, mainly nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, with about 40 to 50 grams per plant. Finally, note that about every 10 to 14 days, spray a foliar fertilizer once, and spraying three times in total is enough.

5. Bud removal

Bud removal promotes the enlargement of pineapple fruit and improves pineapple quality. After the pineapple bolts, some crown buds, zhai buds, suckers, yi buds and other shoots will grow on the pineapple plant, and they will absorb a large amount of the plant's nutrients, water and so on. We should remove some of them appropriately, but we cannot remove them all. Remove the excess shoots and keep some shoots suitable for fruiting next year; this helps concentrate the nutrient supply, thereby promoting the growth and enlargement of the fruit.

When planting pineapples, we first need to understand the growth habits of the pineapple, and then plant scientifically according to its growth habits and planting techniques. The above is all the content the editor has brought you today about the precautions for pineapple planting. We hope you can benefit from it.
