The loquat is a perennial evergreen fruit tree that grows in all four seasons of the year, so its demand for fertilizer is relatively high. So how should loquat trees be fertilized? Come and take a look at the detailed introduction with the editor.

1. Fertilizing young trees

Fertilizing young trees is mainly to promote the growth of young trees, form a canopy as quickly as possible, and bloom and bear fruit earlier. Fertilization should be carried out according to its characteristics of year-round growth and four-season shoot flushing. Generally, a shoot-promoting fertilizer should be applied once before each new shoot sprouts, and half a month later, when the new shoots flush, a shoot-strengthening fertilizer should be applied again. Fertilizing young trees should be light, preferably with rotted human and livestock manure or quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer, and should be applied frequently and thinly.

2. Fertilizing fruit-bearing trees

1. Post-harvest fertilizer: generally applied in May-June, it can promote the recovery of tree vigor, flush out robust summer shoots, plump up the fruiting mother branches, and promote flower bud differentiation in the plant. Generally, apply 70-100 kg of high-quality organic fertilizer, 0.5 kg of urea, and 2 kg of phosphate fertilizer per tree, and apply it in a circular ditch dug along the outer edge of the canopy.

2. Flower-promoting fertilizer: applied in September-October before the loquat blooms, it can improve the cold resistance of young fruit, promote normal development of the flower organs, and increase the fruit-setting rate. Generally, apply 50 kg of human and livestock manure and urine plus 1 kg each of phosphate and potassium fertilizer per tree.

3. Fruit-strengthening fertilizer: applied in February-March, it can enhance tree vigor, promote the rapid expansion of young fruit, and significantly increase yield and Europe. Apply 1 kg each of urea and phosphate fertilizer and 1.5 kg of potassium fertilizer per tree.

4. Foliar fertilization: when fertilizing the soil, carry out foliar fertilization once every half month. A 0.3% urea solution can be used for spraying, and when the plant lacks certain elements, the corresponding spray can be applied.
