What are the methods for making dried flowers from baby's breath?
1. Natural air-drying method
Overview: This method does not require any machine, so it is very simple and convenient.
Timing: We need to avoid the plum rain season.
Specific method: In dry air, hang the fresh flowers upside down. Be careful to stagger them, so as to preserve the shape of the flowers and prevent them from colliding and becoming deformed. After some time, we need to determine whether they have dried well based on the humidity of the air and the specific condition of the flowers. If you see that the shape is already very good, then it is done, and you can put them in a vase.
2. Book-pressing air-drying method
Overview: This method is also relatively simple, much like making plant specimens.
Tools: A book (a fairly thick one), and some cardboard.
Specific method: Separate the flowers into branches, as thin and small as possible. After separating them, arrange the individual flower stems neatly in the book, then close the book. If you are afraid of staining the pages, you can put a layer of paper towel in between. After about three to four days, we can see that the flowers in the book have dried and become flattened. You can frame them to use as wall art.
3. Heat air-drying method
Overview: The principle of this method is similar to the second method, but it is faster in terms of time.
Specific method: First press the flowers down with a card, then place the card and flowers on another sheet of cardboard. Secure them with a rubber band and put them into the microwave. The waiting time cannot be too long; generally speaking, ten seconds to half a minute is enough. After taking them out, remove the card. Wait until they cool naturally, then take the flowers out.
