Sprinkler Irrigation Machine: Maintenance Methods and Precautions During Use

The sprinkler irrigation machine is one of the ideal water-saving irrigation tools suited to China's conditions, and is one of the agricultural machines often used by many farmers or livestock raisers. So how should the sprinkler irrigation machine during use be maintained? What should be noted during maintenance?

How should the sprinkler irrigation machine be maintained during use?

1. After the water pump starts, if no water comes out within 3 minutes, stop the machine and check it.

2. If abnormal phenomena occur during the operation of the water pump, such as abnormal noise, vibration, or decreased water volume, stop the machine immediately. Pay attention to the temperature rise of the bearings; their temperature must not exceed 75°C.

3. Observe whether the sprinkler head is working normally, and whether there is uneven rotation, rotating too fast or too slow, or even failing to rotate. Observe whether the direction change is flexible and whether there are any abnormal phenomena.

4. Try to avoid using water with excessive sediment content for sprinkler irrigation; otherwise, it is easy to wear the water pump impeller and the sprinkler head nozzle, and it also affects crop growth.

5. In order to suit different soil types and crops, the nozzle needs to be replaced. When adjusting the rotation speed of the sprinkler head, this can be done by tightening or loosening the rocker arm spring. The rocker arm is suspended on the rocker arm shaft, and the positioning screw can also be turned to adjust the water-entry depth at the head of the rocker arm to control the rotation speed of the sprinkler head. Adjusting the reverse rotation position can change the reverse rotation speed.

6. The sign that the rotation speed of the sprinkler head has been adjusted well is that, on the premise of not causing surface runoff, a slow rotation speed should be used as much as possible. Generally, a small sprinkler head rotates 1 turn in 1 minute to 2 minutes, a medium sprinkler head rotates 1 turn in 3 minutes to 4 minutes, and a large sprinkler head rotates 1 turn in 5 minutes to 7 minutes.

Key points for maintenance of the sprinkler irrigation machine:

1. Loosened parts of the unit should be tightened in time.

2. All lubrication points should be lubricated on time to ensure good lubrication and normal operation.

3. The maintenance of the unit's power engine and water pump should be carried out according to the relevant instruction manuals.

4. When the sprinkler irrigation unit is not used for a long time, the water stored in the pump body must be drained, the water pump and sprinkler head disassembled and checked, water stains wiped clean, oil applied before reassembly, the inlet and outlet wrapped well, and stored in a dry place. The pipes should be washed clean and dried in the sun, and the hoses coiled into discs and placed in a cool, dry place. Never place the above parts in places with acid, alkali, or high temperatures.

5. The threads or quick connectors on the frame and the parts prone to rust should be coated with oil and stored properly.
