When using a rice harvester to carry out work, problems are inevitably encountered. Because rice husks are relatively thick, the wear on the harvester is also very strong. So, what are the common faults of rice harvesters? How should they be solved?

1.Incomplete threshing of the panicle heads.

Causes: Many green heads on the grain panicles; the threshing gap between the rasp bar and the concave of the threshing component is too large, and the rotational speed is low.

Troubleshooting method: Control the cutting width of the field, keeping it within 2/3; adjust the threshing gap of the thresher, reduce the cylinder speed, increase the concave clearance, and replace severely worn parts in time; tension the belt connecting the engine to the threshing component.

2.Difficulty in automatic feeding.

Causes: The distance between the feeding chain and the tips of the retracting teeth does not match; the crop is lodged or damp.

Troubleshooting method: On the premise that the spring teeth do not touch the cutter bar, the reel should be moved back as far as possible; repair the blades of the header feed auger so that the height of the blades from the bottom plate is no more than 10 mm; keep the distance between the feeding chain and the tips of the retracting teeth between 10 and 15 cm; the spring length of the safety clutch of the header feed auger should be appropriate, so that it can disengage in time when the feeding resistance is too great.

3.The reel knocks off many grains.

Causes: The reel speed is too high, the position is too high and strikes the panicle heads, or the reel is positioned too far forward, increasing the number of strikes on the grain panicles.

Troubleshooting method: Appropriately reduce the reel speed or height, and appropriately move the reel backward.

4.Cutter bar clogging.

Causes: Too many weeds in the field, and the stubble height is too low.

Troubleshooting method: It can be eliminated by appropriately raising the stubble height; if it is caused by embedded hard objects such as stones or steel wire, stop the machine and turn off the engine, and remove the caught objects; adjust the front-end clearance between the moving blades and the fixed blades to 1 to 1.5 mm, and straighten or replace bolts and cutter bars found to be deformed in time.

5.Conveying trough blockage.

Causes: Insufficient tension of the conveyor belt or deviation during operation; too much debris in the conveying trough; damp grain stalks.

Troubleshooting method: Clear the blockage and tension the conveyor belt; when it is confirmed that the belt is worn and thus transmits insufficient power, replace it in time.

6.Threshing cylinder blockage.

Causes: The drive belt is too loose or feeding is uneven; the crop stalks are wet.

Troubleshooting method: Tension the conveyor belt and control the header feeding amount; choose mature and dry crops for harvesting or raise the stubble height; when starting work, it is strictly forbidden to control the travel speed by suddenly revving the throttle.
