1. Land saving
Because sprinkler irrigation can greatly reduce the land occupied by ditches and channels, compared with surface irrigation, sprinkler irrigation can save 13% of land. If agricultural input is calculated at 300 yuan/mu, then land saving in open fields can increase income by 85.8 yuan per mu per year, and land saving for vegetables can increase income by 156 yuan per mu per year.
2. Electricity saving
Although the supporting power of sprinkler irrigation is greater than that of ordinary surface irrigation, the sprinkler irrigation time is shorter and the irrigation quota is smaller. Compared with soil-channel irrigation, sprinkler irrigation can save 2 labor days per mu per year. At a labor cost of 10 yuan per mu per year, labor saving can create a new benefit of 20 yuan per year. According to tests: flood irrigation in open fields uses 100-200 cubic meters of water per mu; even with pipeline irrigation, 80 cubic meters of water per mu is still needed. With sprinkler irrigation, however, only 35 cubic meters of water per mu is needed. Calculating on the basis that open fields are irrigated at least 6 times per year and surface irrigation uses an average of 150 cubic meters per mu per irrigation, using sprinkler irrigation saves 690 cubic meters of water per mu per year.
In addition, the reel-type sprinkler irrigation machine also has the characteristic of strong adaptability. Terrain conditions basically have no effect on sprinkler irrigation.
