What safety precautions should be taken before using a reversible plough?
Mechanical accidents happen frequently, and some farmers may simply fail to pay attention for a moment, leading to an accident. As agricultural machinery, the reversible plough must also be operated and worked safely. Follow along with the editor to learn what to pay attention to before using a reversible plough and what safety operation knowledge there is.
Adjustment work to understand before using a reversible plough
First, lateral level adjustment: adjust the level of the crossbeam of the reversible plough's hitch head frame. Park the unit on level ground. Turn the handle on the tractor's lift rod to lengthen or shorten the lift rod so that the hitch frame crossbeam is parallel to the ground. The height of the crossbeam from the ground is determined by the specific ploughing depth; the greater the ploughing depth, the lower the crossbeam. Then adjust the level of the reversible plough's plough frame. The method is to adjust the adjusting bolts at both ends of the plough hitch head frame (some are also in other positions) so that the heights by which the left and right bolts protrude from the crossbeam are consistent. The protrusion height value depends on the specific ploughing depth; the greater the ploughing depth, the more they protrude. Through the above adjustments, the lateral level of the plough has basically been ensured.
Second, longitudinal level adjustment: after the lateral level adjustment of the reversible plough's plough frame is completed, the longitudinal level adjustment of the plough frame must be carried out during trial ploughing. During trial ploughing, observe whether the plough's main frame (or diagonal beam) is level. If the front is high and the rear is low, causing the plough's main frame body to have difficulty entering the soil or to plough too shallowly, the upper pull rod should be shortened; otherwise, it should be lengthened. At this time, note that the longitudinal level adjustment is carried out after the lateral level adjustment is completed and under the premise of ensuring the lateral level state, and its adjustment is limited to adjusting the upper pull rod. If the lower pull rod of the reversible plough is adjusted so that its length changes, it will inevitably damage the lateral level of the whole machine's plough frame. At this time, even if the plough frame reaches a level state in one ploughing state (such as right-hand turning), it is difficult to ensure that the plough frame can be in a level state in another ploughing state (left-hand turning).
Finally, ploughing depth adjustment: if it is a plough whose ploughing depth is controlled by height adjustment, then the land wheel screw must be adjusted to adjust the ploughing depth. Reversible ploughs and hydraulic reversible ploughs control the left and right ploughing depths through the alternating work of a single plough wheel, so their ploughing depth adjustment is relatively simple; as long as one side reaches the predetermined ploughing depth, the ploughing depth of the other side is also ensured. However, some plough models control the left and right ploughing depths through double plough wheels; for these plough models, the ploughing depths during left and right ploughing must be adjusted separately.
Mechanical safety operation knowledge for reversible ploughs
1. First, the principles of “safety for production, production must ensure safety” and “rational use, safety first” must be implemented well; establish a full-time safety organization, with full-time personnel responsible for mechanical safety management work.
2. When mechanical equipment such as a reversible plough is working, the operator must not leave the post without authorization, must not hand the mechanical equipment over to personnel not assigned to this machine to operate, and unrelated personnel are strictly forbidden from entering the mechanical work area and the operating room. When working, one must concentrate, and operating after drinking is strictly forbidden.
3. Machine operators must be trained before taking up their posts, and relevant personnel should be hired to conduct theoretical knowledge training for machine drivers, such as mechanical common sense and basic knowledge of various mechanical operations, so that machine drivers understand the general theoretical knowledge of mechanical operation, repair and maintenance, and so that machine operators can become familiar with the general characteristics of the machine, maintain and repair the machine in a timely manner, and reduce the occurrence of accidents.
The reversible plough, like other mechanical equipment, also requires safe production and work maintenance, so we must also strictly follow the requirements for production and processing, ensure safe work, and improve the working efficiency of the machine.
