A rotary tiller is a kind of tillage machine that works with a tractor to complete plowing and harrowing operations. Because of its strong soil-breaking ability and the flat surface it leaves after tilling, it has been widely used; at the same time, it can chop up stubble buried below the surface, making it easier for seeders to operate and providing a good seedbed for later sowing. In agricultural production, rotary tillers often need to be modified, so below is a detailed tutorial on converting an ordinary rotary tiller into a high-stubble return-to-field land preparation machine.

The main difference between an ordinary rotary tiller and a rice high-stubble return-to-field land preparation machine lies in the blades on the blade shaft. To convert it into a high-stubble return-to-field land preparation machine, you only need to replace the blade shaft together with the blades.

The blade shaft of an ordinary rotary tiller is also fixed to the end panel of the frame through the bearing cap at the outer end of the frame. Unscrew the screws on the bearing cap, unscrew the connecting screws between the end panel and the main beam and auxiliary beam, and remove the two end panels. The inner end of the rotary tiller blade shaft is also connected to the gearbox through splines. Pull out the cotter pin, take out the positioning pin, and while shaking the outer end of the blade shaft, pull outward firmly to detach the blade shaft from the gearbox. Then use the same method to remove the blade shaft on the other side.

The frame of the rotary tiller is divided into front and rear beams. Lift the blade shaft of the rice high-stubble return-to-field land preparation machine, together with the stubble-cutting blades, into the middle of them, and fit the inner end of the blade shaft onto the output shaft splines of the gearbox. Insert the positioning pin and lock the cotter pin. If the blade shaft of the rotary tiller and that of the rice high-stubble return-to-field land preparation machine are not the same length, you only need to lengthen the frame. Reinstall the end panels at both ends, install the bearing cap at the outer end of the blade shaft onto the end panel, and secure the end panel. The trailing board also needs to be lengthened, and then installed at the rear of the frame. Likewise, lengthen the cover plate and install it on top of the frame. The modification work is finished just like that.

If a farmer already has a tillage and land preparation machine and knows how to modify it, they only need to prepare one set of blade shafts and stubble-cutting blades for a high-stubble land preparation machine, and then one machine can serve two purposes.

During modification, some farmers want to increase the speed of the rotary tiller. Is this feasible? When we buy agricultural machinery, the dealer will recommend the farm implements to use according to each person's different vehicle model, because different horsepower means different rear output speeds. In other words, during our purchase, the dealer has already matched the most reasonable configuration we need. If someone wants to increase the speed privately according to personal requirements, increasing the speed is very simple: just adjust the ratio of the bevel gears in the rotary tiller gearbox. However, if agricultural implements are damaged due to unauthorized modification, the manufacturer will accept no responsibility at all. This point must be thought through.

In addition, you should also pay attention to whether the geographical environment where you work allows you to modify it. For example, land structure, whether the terrain is flat, soil properties (black soil, red soil, white soil), etc. If the speed is too high when the vehicle slows down or stops, especially when working at the headland, and the rotary tiller has not been lifted, a large pit will appear under the rotary tiller. The work object is also a factor to consider.
