Standard No. NY/T1550—2007

Scope: This standard specifies the model designation, technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, and packaging, transport and storage of air-assisted high-reach sprayers. This standard applies to engine-driven, vehicle-mounted or suspended sprayers that use airflow to convey droplets for spraying operations in the control of pests and diseases on gardens, street trees, etc.; air-assisted sprayers for other purposes may also refer to it for implementation.

Main Technical Content

1. Overall Machine Performance Requirements

(1) The sprayer shall be manufactured according to drawings and technical documents approved through the prescribed procedures, and the matching power shall meet the requirements of relevant standards.

(2) When the sprayer is working normally, the atomization performance shall be good, and all parts and joints shall be reliably sealed, with no liquid leakage.

(3) The vertical reach of the sprayer shall not be less than the index specified or explicitly stated in the product manual.

(4) When the sprayer sprays under rated working conditions, the spray volume deviation shall be within ±10% of the rated spray volume.

(5) During normal operation of the sprayer, when spraying can no longer be properly atomized, the residual liquid in the liquid tank shall be less than 1% of the rated capacity of the liquid tank, but the maximum residual liquid amount shall not be greater than 2 liters.

(6) When the sprayer operates at rated speed, the noise beside the operator's ear in a closed cab shall be less than 85 decibels.

(7) Under normal working conditions of the sprayer, the mean time to first failure shall not be less than 100 hours.

2. Safety Technical Requirements

(1) The liquid pump of the sprayer shall be equipped with a safety device that limits the working pressure. The safety device shall not be bypassed, and its calibration shall be accurate and reliable. All liquid discharged from the safety device shall be able to safely drain back into the liquid tank. The limiting pressure of the safety device shall not exceed 1.2 times the maximum working pressure.

(2) Protective mesh guards shall be provided for dangerous parts that may easily cause injury to the operator, and the dimensions and safety distances of the mesh guards shall comply with relevant provisions.

(3) For parts that are dangerous to the operator, when protective guards cannot be installed due to structural or other reasons, permanent safety warning signs shall be fixed.

(4) Safety warning signs warning the operator to use safety protective equipment shall be provided at prominent parts of the machine. Safety warning signs shall comply with relevant provisions.
