How should a self-propelled boom sprayer be maintained and cared for?
How should a self-propelled boom sprayer be maintained and cared for? A self-propelled boom sprayer is a type of plant protection machine in which the nozzles are mounted on a horizontal boom or a vertical boom, and which can provide its own driving power and travel power, completing its own work without the need for any other power source.
1. Regularly replace and add lubricating oil
(1) After the machine has accumulated 100 hours of work, all the old oil in the chamber of the diaphragm pump and all the old oil in the gearbox housing should be drained completely, and new clean No. 40 diesel engine oil should be added. The new oil should be replaced once every 200 hours.
(2) After the machine has accumulated 100 hours of work, remove the protective mesh on the axial-flow fan, and use a straight-tube grease gun, through the grease nipple on the guide vane support hub, to add a sufficient amount of grease to the bearing of the axial-flow fan. Add lubricating oil to the bearing of the axial-flow fan once every 200 hours.
(3) After the machine has accumulated 500 hours of work, check whether the amount of distilled water in the battery is sufficient, and replace the filters in the hydraulic working lines and hydraulic drive lines, while also replacing the engine air filter, draining the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic oil tank and hydraulic filter, and cleaning them thoroughly.
(4) At intervals of 1500 hours (or every two years), the engine coolant and hydraulic oil should be replaced; the travel drive hydraulic system of the sprayer must use HV46 hydraulic oil sold by a reputable hydraulic oil manufacturer.
2. Long-term storage
When the machine is to be stored for a long period, maintenance should be carried out as follows:
(1) Disconnect the power supply electrodes.
(2) Inject lubricating oil into each part that needs lubrication.
(3) Inspect each component of the sprayer, tighten loose parts, replace damaged parts and repair leaking parts of the lines.
(4) Carefully flush the hydraulic system, and replace the hydraulic oil and hydraulic oil filter according to the maintenance and care instructions in the manual.
(5) Clean each part of the sprayer, ensuring that all valves and lines are free of pesticide residue, and thoroughly drain the residue from the chemical tank and water tank. After cleaning the sprayer is finished, empty the water in the chemical tank, open all the valves, and let the water pump run idle for a few minutes so that the water in the spray lines is drained as much as possible, until air is expelled from the nozzles.
(6) After the sprayer has dried, wipe away rusted areas and touch up the paint on bumped and scratched areas. Apply a thin layer of anti-rust oil to the surfaces of the sprayer's metal parts, and apply grease to the piston rod of any hydraulic cylinder that has not fully retracted, but avoid applying anti-rust oil to the surfaces of tires, rubber hoses and other rubber components. The sprayer can be covered with a waterproof tarpaulin.
(7) In winter, antifreeze should be filled into the spray system lines and the water pump to prevent the various parts from cracking due to freezing. Add 100 liters of antifreeze mixture to the chemical tank, consisting of 1/3 antifreeze and 2/3 water. Start the water pump and each operating valve so that the antifreeze mixture fills the entire spray lines and nozzles.
(8) Store the machine in a cool, dry and ventilated machine shed. Corrosive chemicals should be kept away from the machine, and the machine should be kept away from fire sources.
