What are the conditions for using a high-clearance sprayer? What are the precautions?
Working conditions:
1. The working plot should be level, with no steep slopes and no large rocks, etc.;
2. The soil moisture content of the working plot must not be too high, to avoid the vehicle getting stuck and unable to be towed out;
3. The water used must be clean and should be settled, to avoid wear on the spray components from fine sand particles and other impurities;
4. The water tank of the water transport vehicle should be made of stainless steel, plastic or other rust-proof materials, to avoid rust and other substances clogging the pipelines and nozzles;
5. Operators should be equipped with protective clothing, masks, gloves, etc. to avoid contact with toxic droplets;
6. Prepare the chemicals according to the day's working area, and manage them by category.
Pre-use inspection:
1. Confirm that the engine is off and put the starting key away before carrying out the inspection;
2. Check whether the bolts, nuts, etc. at all positions are complete and tightened securely;
3. According to the manual, check the lubricating oil and hydraulic oil of the engine, diaphragm pump, hydraulic oil pump, etc., to ensure the oil level is sufficient;
4. Check the fuel level in the fuel tank to ensure sufficient fuel;
5. Check the water level in the engine water tank, and top it up promptly if it is low;
6. Check whether the tire pressure is sufficient, and inflate promptly if it is low;
7. Check that the hose clamp bolts at the water pipe joints are tightened securely (if there is room, add an extra hose clamp for reinforcement) to avoid them coming off and causing phytotoxicity, loss of spray liquid, and delays in the work;
8. According to the ridge spacing of the plot, adjust the wheel spacing of the machine to a suitable position, to ensure the wheels travel right in the middle of the crops.
Use and adjustment:
1. First, according to the technician's guidance, determine the spray liquid application rate per unit area for the crop to be treated, and select suitable nozzles;
2. For those with a variable-rate spraying device, set the spray liquid application rate per hectare on the control computer display; for machines without variable-rate spraying, adjust according to the water pump pressure, flow rate and travel speed;
3. The preparation of the spray liquid must be carried out according to the technician's guidance: first prepare the mother liquid, then add half of the required water volume of clean water into the chemical tank, pour in the mother liquid, continue adding the other half of the clean water, and circulate the spray liquid within the system to mix it evenly. If more than one chemical is being sprayed, the spray liquid must be mixed under the technician's guidance according to the chemical instructions, to avoid phytotoxicity;
4. When the machine is started, it should maintain a constant speed, to avoid surging of the water in the chemical tank causing the machine to become unstable;
5. When the machine is traveling, traffic rules must be observed, and the horn must be sounded as a warning when starting the machine, beginning to move, raising or lowering the boom, and turning;
6. Before working, the driver should survey the working plot to determine the entry and exit positions and the positions for adding chemicals and water. Auxiliary personnel and vehicles should move into position in advance to prepare for adding water and chemicals, etc.;
7. During operation, the driver must not turn the steering wheel too sharply, to avoid crushing the seedlings;
8. After entering the field, the height of the nozzles above the crops should be about 40-50cm, and the boom should be level from left to right; when raising and lowering the boom, avoid sudden rises and drops, which cause the boom to shake and damage it;
9. After the boom adjustment is complete, first engage the gear, adjust the throttle, turn on the spray switch, release the clutch, and the machine moves forward at a constant speed to work.
Precautions:
1. Carefully read the machine's instruction manual and strictly follow the machine's required safe operating procedures;
2. During road transport and operation, no one is allowed to stand on the machine;
3. Do not travel on roads with large slopes or where the firmness under the wheels is inconsistent;
4. No one is allowed to stand in the machine's cab or under the boom;
5. Wear protective clothing while working, and avoid contact with the spray liquid as much as possible; if you feel unwell during work, go to the hospital promptly for medical attention;
6. During work, smoking, drinking water, eating and other behaviors that may cause poisoning are prohibited;
7. Before folding the machine, pay attention to whether there are power lines, poles, personnel, etc. within the boom's swing range;
8. Any spray liquid left over after spraying should be handled according to the instructions, to avoid discharging it at will;
9. Regularly check the high-pressure pipelines, to avoid pipeline rupture causing loss of spray liquid and phytotoxicity;
10. Reversing and sharp turns are strictly prohibited during field operations;
11. Do not spray when the wind is stronger than force 3, and do not spray when the weather temperature is high and the updraft is strong;
12. A clogged nozzle will cause uneven spraying; clean it with a brush or toothbrush, and never use hard objects such as wire;
13. If a water distributor needs to be shut off for a plot, it must be opened again promptly before spraying the next working row;
14. If ruts are encountered while traveling, they should be leveled out before proceeding, to avoid the wheel spacing not matching the ruts and damaging the machine's vertical shaft, etc.;
15. For machines with drooping sprayers, when retracting and extending the boom, traveling and turning, prevent the drooping spray pipes from catching and being pulled, to avoid damage;
16. When a machine with drooping sprayers is traveling, the drooping spray pipes should be bundled into bundles and fixed on the truss, and the fixing position should be such that they are not squeezed when folded;
17. When using chemicals provided by farmers themselves, read the instructions carefully, spray only under conditions where you are fully familiar with them, and sign a liability waiver agreement;
18. Keep the clean water tank filled with sufficient clean water; for machines without a clean water tank, bring clean water in a bucket, etc. in the cab, to be ready for washing hands after dealing with problems in the middle of the field;
19. For machines with a travel sensor, the distance between the travel sensor and the wheel bolt cap should be within the range of 5-8mm; if it is too large, travel cannot be sensed and spraying will not occur;
20. At different stages, after the chemicals are sprayed, the water tank and spray pipelines must be thoroughly cleaned, to avoid phytotoxicity;
21. Do not discard used chemical packaging at will; it should be stored and destroyed in a unified manner, to avoid poisoning of people and livestock.
