Vegetable greenhouse planting technology is a fairly common technique. It has good heat-insulating performance and is deeply loved by people, because off-season vegetables can be eaten at any time. Under normal circumstances, greenhouse vegetables all use a structural framework mainly made of bamboo and steel, and then one or more layers of heat-insulating plastic film are covered on top, so that such a simple structure creates a complete greenhouse space. The plastic film can effectively prevent the loss of carbon dioxide produced during the growth of vegetables, so as to achieve the heat-insulating effect required inside the greenhouse. In production, farmer friends should choose suitable vegetable greenhouse covering materials according to their own production needs.

1, Ordinary film. Made with polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride as raw material, film thickness 0.1 mm, colorless and transparent; service life is about half a year.

2, Multifunctional long-life film. It is made by adding an appropriate amount of anti-aging material and surfactant during the polyethylene blow molding process. Width 7.5 m, thickness 0.06 mm, service life 1 times longer than ordinary film, nighttime greenhouse temperature 1-2°C higher than other materials; the film is not prone to water droplet formation, has good covering effect, low cost, and high benefit.

3, Straw bedding, straw fans. Woven from rice straw, good heat-insulating performance, and are nighttime heat-insulating materials.

4, Polyethylene high-foaming flexible sheets. White plastic flexible sheets with many bubbles, width 1 m, thickness 0.4-0.5 cm, light in weight and able to be rolled up, heat-insulating performance similar to straw bedding.

5, Non-woven fabric. A kind of polyester filament, a cloth-like material that has not been woven. It is divided into black and white types, and has different densities and thicknesses. In addition to heat insulation, it can also be used as a shade net.

6, Shade net. A kind of plastic woven filament net, commonly used in black and silver-gray types, and available in several density specifications, with different shading rates. It is mainly used for sun shading and rain protection in summer, and can also be used as winter heat-insulating covering.

7, Glass. There are mainly three types: flat glass, tempered glass, and organic glass. Flat glass is the main light-transmitting covering material for permanent steel-structure greenhouses. It has good optical performance and mechanical properties, but its tensile strength is relatively poor and it is fragile. Tempered glass has greatly improved tensile strength, but it is not resistant to high temperatures and has self-explosion phenomena in hot summers, so it is suitable for ridge-type multi-span greenhouses.

The above are various types of vegetable greenhouse covering materials, for the reference of farmer friends!
