I. How Tall Can a Camphor Tree Grow?

The camphor tree is an evergreen large tree of the order Laurales, family Lauraceae, genus Cinnamomum. It can reach 30 m in height and 3 m in diameter, with a broad ovate crown; its crown spreads widely, its branches and leaves are dense, and it has a majestic appearance. It is an excellent greening tree, street tree and shade tree.

II. Camphor Tree Planting Techniques

For camphor tree planting, plant promptly. In particular, note that pruned camphor tree saplings must be planted immediately. If the transport distance is relatively long, use wet grass and a transpiration inhibitor to keep them moist. Otherwise, the camphor tree will easily lose its own moisture and dry out and turn yellow.

Requirements for the planting pit when planting a camphor tree: first, the pit must be large enough, and at the same time the inside of the pit must be kept clean. The bottom of the pit should be lined with soil from the original digging site or fine soil, and soil should be filled in several times up to the top of the pit, with a berm piled up around the sapling to make watering convenient and for a neat appearance.

For the watering work in camphor tree planting, whether the camphor tree is planted on a cloudy day or a sunny day, it should be watered thoroughly once with settling water in good time. If the weather is dry and exposed to the sun, irrigate thoroughly about every 7 days. 3 to 4 times in a row is enough.

At the same time, pay attention to the planting time. Generally, it is planted from mid-March to mid-April, before the spring buds are about to sprout. It can be replanted during the plum rain season, in autumn September is suitable, and in places with few winter frosts or relatively high rainfall it can also be planted in winter.
