Jasmine Hydroponic Cutting Methods and Planting Tips
Jasmine can be rooted hydroponically. First, choose a suitable culture bottle and add water to a depth of 2 to 3 cm. Then select healthy branches, remove the lower leaves, and keep only 2 to 4 leaves at the top. After that, when light, temperature, and ventilation are suitable, insert them into the bottle and wait for roots to form. Below are jasmine cultivation tips: jasmine cutting hydroponic methods.
1. Prepare the equipment
Prepare a transparent bottle, which can be a soda bottle or a glass bottle. Wash the bottle clean and add 2-3 cm of clean water. The bottle must be transparent so that the jasmine branches can receive light.
2. Trim the branches
Trim branches to a length of about 7-9 cm. Those that have already flowered are best. Remove the leaves at the very bottom and keep only 2-4 at the top. Fewer leaves better meet the nutrient needs of the branches while they are rooting.
3. Insert the cuttings into water
Cuttings can be taken at any time, but it is more recommended to do so from April to June, because this is the most suitable time for hydroponic plant cuttings. If cared for properly, they can root and sprout in 2-3 weeks. Usually be sure to control the water amount well; it should be neither too much nor too little.
4. Transfer to hydroponics
Once the branches have rooted, they can be transplanted to hydroponics. Prepare a suitable flowerpot and submerge about 2/3 of the root system in water, while leaving the rest of the roots in the air for breathing. During normal care, add an appropriate amount of nutrient solution to help them grow better.
