In recent years, passion fruit has become a very popular fruit, because it not only has unusual flesh and a refreshing taste, but is also very nutritious. It is said to contain 17 kinds of amino acids, and has been crowned the king of vitamins for a new generation. Below is an introduction to passion fruit growing tips: how to care for passion fruit in autumn?

1. Sufficient water

Because passion fruit itself is a shallow-rooted plant, it prefers moist conditions. It is afraid of drought, but at the same time it is also afraid of waterlogging. If the moisture is unsuitable, it will greatly affect the fruiting rate. Therefore, in autumn it should be watered in a timely manner, but there must be no standing water. If managing it in the field, some drainage ditches and the like need to be dug to help with drainage, to avoid waterlogging caused by relatively abundant rain in early autumn.

2. An appropriate amount of fertilizer

Fertilizer in autumn is also relatively important. Using an appropriate amount of fertilizer can promote flowering and fruiting. Generally speaking, the conventional autumn fertilization is diluted urea once a month, or human manure and urine, and the concentration must not be too high. In August to September, flower-promoting fertilizer should also be used. From October to November, it is the fruit expansion period, so a compound fertilizer containing nitrogen and potassium needs to be used once. Do not use too much pure nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise it easily leads to excessive vegetative growth.

3. Intertillage and shallow hoeing

If there is relatively a lot of rain just as autumn begins, be careful to carry out timely intertillage and shallow hoeing after the rain, to a depth of about five to ten cm. Weeding can also be done together with the intertillage. Doing this can improve the soil's aeration and benefit the plant's growth.

4. Proper pruning

In autumn, routine pruning can be carried out, cutting off branches that have grown diseased or insect-damaged, or that have dried up.
