Three Main Cultivation Methods for Growing Narcissus at Home
Narcissus is also called Chinese narcissus, and it holds a very high status in our country. It originates from a variant of the Italian polyanthus narcissus. Many people grow narcissus in their homes. It can not only decorate the home environment, but also bring us the enjoyment of beauty. Below we introduce home flower growing tips: three main cultivation methods for narcissus.
1. Hydroponic cultivation of narcissus
Hydroponic narcissus is the most common method. Choose a relatively shallow flower pot. Wash the narcissus clean, and trim the outer scales so they look neat, taking care not to damage the roots. After processing, place it in the flower pot and add water for care. Put it in a cool place and wait for it to take root; after it has rooted, just let it get sunlight.
When growing narcissus hydroponically, note that it is best to change the water every day, and the water can be sun-exposed tap water. When changing the water, keep only a small half of the flower head submerged.
2. Soil cultivation and care of narcissus
Growing and caring for narcissus in soil is actually not very common. When choosing soil, use loose humus soil, and plant the narcissus after processing its bulbs.
Put soil in the flower pot, and after adding part of it, start placing the bulbs, then continue adding soil and press the soil firm. Then water thoroughly, place it in a cool place, and wait until the bulbs grow roots before letting them receive light.
3. Sand cultivation and care of narcissus
Sand cultivation means using sand to grow narcissus. Choose clean fine sand and a flower pot with relatively good breathability. Put the sand into the flower pot, place the narcissus bulbs into the pot, and then add the sand. Note that the narcissus heads should face downward, and then spread small stones on top of the sand so it looks more attractive.
