(3) Suggestions

1. If you plan to hike the mountain trails to enjoy the sea view and play in the sand, it is not recommended to go in July or August. Although there are pavilions along the way for resting, the trees are small and provide little shade, so it is not suitable.

2. The temperature in Langqi is not much lower than in downtown Fuzhou, and the sunlight is strong. It is recommended to bring a hat, quick-dry windbreaker, and especially plenty of water, as well as some snacks. There are not many shops along the way, so this helps prevent dehydration and hunger.

3. July and August are the best time to go for grape picking.

Next to the Langqi seawall is the Oriental College of the Agriculture and Forestry University. There are many small eateries at the college entrance, so meals can be easily taken care of.

(4) Notes on grape picking

1. When picking, visitors should preferably wear dark clothing, and try to avoid contact with grapes or branches that could stain clothes with juice. At the same time, dark clothing can also protect against insect bites.

2. Grapes cannot be eaten directly after being picked, because the sugar content of the grape fruit is very high, and small insects or bacteria easily attach to the surface.

3. Visitors should cherish the grape vines and fruit trees, not pick them together with the branches, and should act according to their capacity, picking only as much as they can eat.

4. When picking, be careful that the scissors do not injure yourself or others, and pay special attention to looking after children.

5. When picking, use your hand or a basket to support the grapes from below before cutting, so that the grapes do not fall to the ground and break.
