Acetamiprid is a new type of broad-spectrum insecticide with certain acaricidal activity; its mode of action is as a systemic insecticide through soil and foliage, and it is widely used on rice, especially for the control of aphids, planthoppers, thrips, and some lepidopteran pests on vegetables, fruit trees, and tea. Below we introduce the methods of use and precautions for acetamiprid.

I. Methods of use of acetamiprid

1. Control of aphids on various vegetables

Spray carefully with a 1000-1500 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate at the early peak of aphid occurrence, and good control results are achieved. Even in rainy years, the efficacy can still last more than 15 days.

2. Control of aphids on fruit trees such as jujube, apple, pear, and peach

At the early peak of aphid occurrence, spray with a 2000-2500 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate; it has good rapid efficacy against aphids, resists rain washing, and the residual effect lasts more than 20 days.

3. Control of citrus aphids

During the period of aphid occurrence, spray with a 2000-2500 times dilution of 3% acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate; it has excellent control effects and relatively long-lasting efficacy against citrus aphids, and there is no phytotoxicity at normal use doses.

4. Control of aphids on crops such as cotton, tobacco, and peanut

At the early peak of aphid occurrence, spray with a 2000 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate, and the control effect is good.

5. Control of greenhouse whitefly and tobacco whitefly

Spray with a 1000-1500 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate at the seedling stage, and spray with a 1500-2000 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate at the mature plant stage; the control effect reaches more than 95%. When spraying with a 4000-5000 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate at the harvest stage, the control effect still reaches more than 80%. And there is no effect on yield or quality.

6. Control of thrips on various vegetables

Spray with a 1500 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate at the peak of larval occurrence, and the control effect reaches more than 90%.

7. Control of rice planthoppers

At the peak of young nymph occurrence, spray with a 1000 times dilution of 3% Tianda acetamiprid emulsifiable concentrate, and the control effect reaches more than 90%.

II. Precautions for using acetamiprid

1. This agent is toxic to silkworms; never spray it onto mulberry leaves.

2. It must not be mixed with strongly alkaline liquid formulations.

3. This product should be stored in a cool, dry place, and must not be stored together with food.

4. Although this product has low toxicity, care must still be taken not to drink or eat it by mistake; if it is accidentally swallowed, induce vomiting immediately and send the person to hospital for treatment.

5. This product has low irritation to the skin; be careful not to splash it on the skin, and if it is splashed on, wash it off immediately with soapy water.

The above is Tuliuwang's introduction to the methods of use and precautions for acetamiprid. This product is widely used on rice, especially for the control of aphids, planthoppers, thrips, and some lepidopteran pests on vegetables, fruit trees, and tea. We hope the above introduction to the methods of use of acetamiprid is helpful to everyone.
