How to care for Black Prince in winter
1. This plant's habits in winter
First, it has some temperature requirements. Although it can tolerate low temperatures to a certain extent, there is a limit. Generally speaking, 3 to 5 degrees is the minimum temperature, and it is best not to go any lower. Next is watering, which needs to be adjusted according to the temperature. Then there is light. It is itself a plant that relatively loves light. If there is insufficient light, its color will fade and become light brown, affecting its ornamental value. This is even more true in winter, when light plays an important role in helping it get through the winter.
2. Specific methods
(1) Temperature: We have already mentioned its specific requirements above, so in winter we must not leave it outdoors. Place it in a warm indoor spot for care, and it is best to keep the temperature above 10°C so that it will not enter dormancy.
(2) Watering: We need to adjust this according to the temperature. If the temperature can be kept above 10 degrees, we can water normally, but we must not water too much, because this plant itself is afraid of waterlogging. However, if the temperature cannot be guaranteed to stay above 10 degrees, then it will basically be dormant, and there is no need to give water, otherwise the plant's root system will very likely rot.
(3) We should place the plant in a spot where it can receive plenty of light, because the light at noon will not be particularly strong either, so there is no need to use certain shading measures.
