Enoki mushroom is a type of fungus, and if you order a mushroom hot pot base at a hot pot restaurant, it will definitely be included. Its texture is crisp, it does not have the strong mushroom odor of other fungi, and its nutritional value is also very high. Whether eaten in hot pot or in cold dishes, enoki mushroom is loved by people. Because sales are good, many vegetable growers want to learn how to cultivate enoki mushroom, and everyone also wants to learn fungus cultivation techniques. So what are the cultivation techniques and growing methods for enoki mushroom? Is the economic value of enoki mushroom high?

I. The economic value of enoki mushroom

Prices differ from region to region, and the more developed the city, the more expensive the prices, so many vegetable growers now bag enoki mushrooms and pack them separately, then transport them over long distances to first- and second-tier cities for sale, which brings higher economic value. However, yield is mainly determined by whether the vegetable grower usually manages the enoki mushrooms carefully and whether the cultivation techniques are good. What can be certain is that the planting benefit is two to three times the planting cost, a much larger profit margin than ordinary vegetables.

II. Cultivation techniques and growing methods for enoki mushroom.

1. Enoki mushroom likes to grow in a relatively low-temperature environment, so the cultivation time is generally set in late autumn, under climatic conditions after the temperature drops below 20 degrees. Under the different temperature conditions of each region, growers should judge the cultivation time according to the specific climate of each region.

2. Vegetable growers who have raised mushrooms know clearly that fungus crops are all grown and cultivated through mycelium. Enoki mushroom follows the same principle: mix the nutrients required by the mycelium in the right proportions. The ingredients of the nutrients include lime and sawdust, among others, but cottonseed is still the main one. After disinfecting the nutrients, fungus cultivation can begin.

3. Normally, the mycelium does not need much management; just add water and stir it every day. After three or four days of stirring and cultivation, it can be disinfected and inoculated again, so these nutrients are as important as the soil needed by enoki mushroom. After the spawn has settled, it must be ensured that there are no other fungal bodies besides the enoki mushroom mycelium, and all utensils must be strictly disinfected and sterilized to ensure the success rate of enoki mushroom cultivation.

4. After successful inoculation, growers must strictly control the management of enoki mushroom, mainly the temperature and humidity of the growing environment. The mycelium likes a low-temperature and humid environment. After seeing the enoki mushrooms emerge, vegetable growers should immediately remove the other initial fungal spawn from the nutrients to avoid spawn mixing and mutation. The higher the humidity, the crisper the texture of the enoki mushroom.

5. Of course, vegetable growers should know that enoki mushrooms are not better the larger they grow, and they must be picked at the right time, otherwise the enoki mushrooms will easily become old and the texture will also be poor.
