I. How to control orange-colored nematodes inside oyster mushroom bags?

1. The fruiting room must be clean and sanitary, and environmental conditions must be kept good; eliminate all kinds of vector pests to avoid nematode transmission. During the fruiting period, the mushroom house must not be damp and stuffy, so ventilation should be increased.

2. Compost treatment. The pile temperature of the compost should be raised, and the compost site environment should be kept clean; carry out post-fermentation treatment of the compost so that nematodes and their eggs are thoroughly eliminated; the moisture content of the compost should be kept proper to avoid the compost being too wet. In addition, the raw materials used for cultivating oyster mushrooms and the like should be soaked in 2% lime water for 24 hours to kill nematodes. When mixing the compost, spray 500-fold diluted dichlorvos, pile and cover for 8-12 hours, and inoculate after the medicinal smell has dissipated.

3. Log treatment. For log cultivation, spray the logs with 5% salt water or 1% lime water once every 10 days; in addition, lime can also be spread on the ground.

4. Casing soil material treatment. Pasteurize the soil, or fumigate with dichlorvos 1 week before use.

5. Use a clean water source. Use tap water or clean well water or river water for mixing the compost, manage the use of water, and avoid spraying water contaminated by nematodes onto logs or mushroom beds. If the water source is not clean, an appropriate amount of alum can be added to precipitate and purify the water, eliminating nematodes.

6. Chemical control. When a mushroom bed is locally infested by nematodes, dig a trench around the diseased area to isolate it from the unaffected part, then stop watering the diseased area and let it dry out.

In addition, spraying with 25% rice vinegar or 1% acetic acid can also be used.

II. Other precautions for oyster mushroom cultivation

The growth of oyster mushrooms is easily attacked by contaminating microbes in winter. The main contaminating microbes include green mold, Mucor, Aspergillus, Rhizopus, bacteria, etc. Green mold is the most serious contaminating microbe attacking oyster mushrooms; any medium suitable for the growth of oyster mushrooms is also suitable for the growth of green mold mycelium. Oyster mushrooms can develop green mold when the compost is not strictly sterilized, disinfection at inoculation is not thorough, and the environmental sanitation during the fruiting period is poor.

1. Control the moisture in the medium at 60%-65%; excessively high moisture very easily triggers green mold.

2. Keep the environment clean and dry, with no accumulation of waste material or contaminated material. Keep the fruiting site sanitary, keep the mushroom shed ventilated, appropriately lower the air humidity, reduce the frequency of watering, and prevent the mushroom logs from fruiting under high-temperature conditions for a long time; alternate wet and dry conditions, and the mushroom logs should have a lower-humidity environment for mycelium recovery and between flushes.

3. Harvest mushrooms in time, remove residual mushrooms, broken roots and diseased mushrooms, and clear away contaminated mushroom logs.

4. Inject the green mold spots with Lvmeijing (Green Mold Clean), or inject with Lixin Junwang or Junjuesha.
