How to cultivate white beech mushrooms for high quality and high yield? A detailed explanation of the key technical points
White beech mushroom, also known as royal mushroom and called yuzhang in Japan, has a fruiting body as white as jade, a delicate texture and an excellent taste. It is a superior mountain delicacy highly favored by domestic and international markets. So today, the editor of Tuliu.com will explain the key points of cultivation techniques for high-quality and high-yield white beech mushrooms~
1. Cultivation time
According to the biological characteristic of white beech mushroom fruiting at low temperatures of 5C~20C, cultivation can be arranged in autumn and winter. For winter cultivation, choose to sow from December to February and fruit from February to April; for autumn cultivation, sow from August to October and fruit from October to December. Each region should determine the suitable cultivation time according to different climatic conditions.
2. Raw material preparation
Practice has shown that with the following culture materials, the mycelium grows quickly, the fruiting bodies are large and thick, the quality is good, and the yield is high. High-quality cultivation formulas: ① 76% miscellaneous sawdust, 15% wheat bran, 5% corn flour, 2% gypsum, 2% lime
② 50% cottonseed hulls, 30% sawdust, 16% wheat bran, 2% gypsum, 2% lime
③ 40% crop straw, 35% sawdust, 18% wheat bran, 5% corn flour, 1% gypsum, 1% lime
3. Bagging and sterilization
Use the double-bagging method for bagging, that is, use a 15×30×0.05cm polyethylene plastic bag inside. Mix the culture material evenly, add enough water at a material-to-water ratio of 1:1.3, and adjust the moisture content to 60%~65%; fill the bag to a height of 16cm~18cm, with each bag weighing 650 grams~750 grams wet, equivalent to 300 grams~350 grams dry material. Abandon the conventional cumbersome process of putting on rings and plugging cotton. Fold the upper end of the bag opening diagonally, then cover it with a 17×33×0.05cm polyolefin bag, and tie the bag opening with string.
4. Inoculation and cultivation
After sterilization, move the bags to the inoculation room while hot. Disinfect the inoculation space with an aerosol disinfectant or formaldehyde mixed with potassium permanganate for fumigation. Wait until the material temperature drops below 30C before inoculating. Strictly follow aseptic operation requirements during inoculation to prevent contamination by foreign fungi. After inoculation is completed, move the spawn bags into the cultivation room for cultivation away from light. Three days after inoculation, check for foreign fungi and the germination and establishment of the spawn. During mycelial cultivation, ventilate frequently to keep the air fresh, and control the indoor temperature at 15C.
5. Fruiting management
1. Generally, after 30 to 40 days of cultivation, once the mycelium has fully colonized the bag, continue cultivating the fungus for another 7 to 10 days to promote physiological maturity of the mycelium. Move the mature spawn bags out of the fruiting room to induce fruiting.
2. Specific operations: adjust the fruiting room temperature to 5C~20C, uncover the film and open doors and windows at night to provide cold stimulation; uncover the straw curtains during the day to provide light stimulation; and spray water on the ground and walls to raise the relative humidity of the fruiting room space to 85%~90%. After 5 to 7 days of repeated bud-forcing management, when white primordia are found at the bag opening and have grown to the size of soybeans, remove the tying string from the bag opening; when they reach the size of broad beans, open the film at the bag opening; when they grow to the size of a ping-pong ball, cut open the film at the bag opening to promote cap differentiation. Prevent the occurrence of deformed mushrooms with long stipes and small caps.
