What are the efficacy and effects of fenpyroximate?
Fenpyroximate is an oxime-type acaricide that acts mainly through contact toxicity, has a broad acaricidal spectrum, and also has insecticidal and disease-control effects. It is suitable for controlling red spider mites and citrus red mites on many plants. It also has good control effects on pests such as diamondback moth, tobacco cutworm, striped stem borer, rice planthopper, and green peach aphid, as well as diseases such as rice blast, powdery mildew, and downy mildew.
5% fenpyroximate suspension concentrate, used to control various phytophagous mites, has strong contact toxicity, is highly effective against eggs, nymphs, larvae, and adult mites, and can quickly relieve mite damage. Unlike general insecticides, its mechanism of action interferes with neurophysiological activity and inhibits stimulated nerve conduction. After mites, nymphs, and insects and larvae come into contact with the pesticide, they show symptoms of paralysis, do not move or feed, and die after 2-4 days.
For red, yellow, and white spiders on fruit trees, cotton, and vegetables, spraying at a 2800-3300-fold dilution can achieve the best effect.
Precautions for using fenpyroximate:
1. Fenpyroximate must not be mixed with alkaline substances.
2. Fenpyroximate is toxic to fish, so pay attention to safety when using it.
