How to use herbicides on sweet potato fields after seedling emergence
Specialized post-emergence herbicides for sweet potato fields include Shuda'an sweet potato field post-emergence specialized (1+1+1) herbicide, Shulaibao sweet potato field post-emergence specialized (1+1+1) herbicide, Shuwuyou new-type sweet potato post-emergence inter-row specialized herbicide, Shun'erwei Shuyuan - sweet potato field post-emergence herbicide, and Shun'erwei Shuyuan - sweet potato field post-emergence herbicide, all of which have good weed-control effects.
Precautions for using herbicides in sweet potato fields
1. Pay attention to observing the weed situation in the field. This herbicide works well on grasses and young broadleaf weeds, but has poor effects on old weeds, huoxiangcao (stinkweed), and others.
2. Strictly follow the instructions for use, and first test on a small area. After sweet potato vines are transplanted and survive, and the stems are more than 15 cm long, it can be used. First arrange the sweet potato vines up to the top of the ridge, use 2 watering cans per mu, and use secondary dissolution when mixing with water. Try not to touch the young sweet potato buds. Observe the efficacy after 7——10 days, then decide whether to continue spraying. If there are no negative effects, the sprayed weeds turn yellow, and sweet potato growth is unaffected or the sweet potato vines show slight settling, then the herbicide can continue to be used; otherwise, do not use it again.
3. During application, note that after spraying the pesticide, do not spray the same area again, otherwise it is very easy to cause phytotoxicity. Each watering can holds 15—20 kg, and it must not be too concentrated.
4. If serious phytotoxicity occurs during use, or if the seedlings take more than 10—15 days to settle, promptly additionally spray pesticides with detoxifying effects such as Plant Power 2003, Hemiao No. 8, or Luba 120, and strengthen fertilizer and water management.
