There are many choices for the flower pot when growing pothos; you can use a ceramic pot, a clay pot, or a plastic pot; the soil must have strong air permeability and drainage to prevent water from accumulating in the potting soil. For cultivation, you can use a mix of leaf mold, garden soil, river sand, and perlite.

2. Water

Pothos is suited to growing in a humid environment, so keep the soil slightly moist, and there must not be excess water in the flower pot. Depending on the situation, water once every 2-3 days in spring and autumn; in summer, water once a day or once each in the morning and evening, and also spray the leaves with water at any time to increase humidity; in winter, water once every 3-5 days, and the water temperature is best close to room temperature, otherwise it will also cause frostbite.

3. Light

For everyday growing, it is best to let it receive indirect light; it must not be exposed to strong direct sunlight, and it should be kept in a well-ventilated place for care. If it is grown indoors where the light is poor, then let it get some sun about every 10 days, otherwise growing in a dark place for a long time easily leads to poor growth. If it is grown outdoors, do a good job of shading, especially in summer, and do not let it receive direct light.

4. Fertilizing

To fertilize pothos, organic fertilizer is usually used; fertilize more during the peak growing season, and the topdressing is generally mainly nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizer. Do not fertilize it in winter; for ordinary fertilizing, apply thin fertilizer frequently, because if the amount of fertilizer applied at one time is too large, root burn will occur.
