When does Jiucaiping in Guizhou usually bloom?
Guizhou Jiucaiping flowering period: it starts blooming at the end of July, opens in small patches in early August, reaches full bloom in September, and the flowering period lasts until the end of October, colorful and magnificent. Jiucaiping is located in the Axilixi Scenic Area in Hezhang County, Bijie City, Guizhou, and is a large expanse of wild chive flowers.
Jiucaiping tourist attractions:
Attraction one: Da Jiucaiping. This is the most fully developed spot. Every year at the end of August and beginning of September, the unique wild chive flowers here cover the mountains and fields; search online for the beautiful photos yourself. I went in early August, and there were only flower buds all over the mountains and a few flowers already in bloom. Still, it was good that there were not many tourists at the time.
Attraction two: Axilixi Prairie. A very vast alpine meadow on a mountaintop. It is under development, and the road has already been built to the top of the prairie; now if you drive there yourself, no one stops you and you can drive all the way to the top. I arrived after 5 p.m., when even the construction management staff at the top had gotten off work. I drove my car directly deep into the prairie, and such treatment will be impossible once the scenic area is finished. Viewing the so-called “Ten Thousand Peak Forest” here is more suitable than at several other places.
Attraction three: Tianshang Shilin. Someone collects fees at the parking lot, and entry to the scenic area is free. There are many small paths among the strange peaks and rocks, and it feels like a maze.
Attraction four: Xiao Jiucaiping, the highest peak in Guizhou, with an altitude of 2900.6 m. Hiking enthusiasts must not miss it. And along the climb there are also many “Tianshang Shilin” rock formations to admire.
