How to Grow Shine Muscat Grapes? A Detailed Guide to the Key Cultivation Techniques
First select virus-free seedlings, then establish the vineyard well; the soil of the site must be disinfected and fertilized in advance; then carry out planting in late autumn or early spring. Once the Shine Muscat grapes are planted, manage the trellis system, pruning and shaping, pinching, fertilizer and water, and pests and diseases well.
When fertilizing Shine Muscat grapes, pay attention to:
1. In the young tree stage, starting from when the new shoots begin to grow, apply topdressing every 15~20 days; in the early stage, mainly nitrogen fertilizer with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer as well. In the later stage, mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizer with nitrogen fertilizer as well; after fertilizing, irrigate and loosen the soil in time.
2. For mature trees, fertilization should be mainly organic fertilizer, with chemical fertilizer as a supplement. Apply scientifically and reasonably according to factors such as yield and soil fertility, to maintain or increase soil fertility and soil microbial activity.
① From bud break to the flowering stage, 4~6 kg of balanced water-soluble fertilizer + Sea Elf biological stimulant root-drenching type can be applied by drip irrigation or flushing in 1~2 split applications.
② From the first swelling to the pit-hardening stage, apply 8 kg of high-potassium water-soluble fertilizer in 2 split applications, and 4 kg of balanced water-soluble fertilizer once, by drip irrigation or flushing.
③ In the second swelling stage, apply 8~10 kg of high-potassium water-soluble fertilizer in two split applications.
④ From the coloring stage to the harvest stage, apply 4 kg of high-phosphorus-potassium water-soluble fertilizer once.
⑤ After harvest, apply autumn fertilizer in time, mainly organic fertilizer, to help the plant recover its vigor, promote flower bud differentiation, and lay a good foundation for a high yield the following year. An appropriate amount of medium and trace elements can be added and applied in furrows; applying after fruit harvest is best.
⑥ For foliar fertilization, during key growth periods of Shine Muscat, such as the vigorous new shoot growth stage, young fruit swelling stage, and rapid fruit swelling stage, in addition to root fertilization, you can also spray phosphorus-potassium source reservoir, Sea Elf biological stimulant foliar type, etc. on the leaves to quickly supplement the tree's nutrition and increase leaf photosynthesis.
Shine Muscat grapes have large clusters and sweet fruit; after ripening, they can hang on the tree for as long as 2-3 months without berries dropping, and after harvest they are not easily crushed or broken, making them a grape relatively suitable for long-distance transport.
