Select some seeds with strong disease resistance and high yield, soak them in water with carbendazim for one day, then remove them, rinse them clean, and put them in a bucket to let them sprout. After the seeds sprout, evenly broadcast them over the soil, then cover with a thin layer of soil and cover with plastic film to let them emerge. When the seedlings reach one and a half months old, transplant them into the field at a spacing of 14*30cm between plants and rows, and finally do a good job with basic management such as water and fertilizer and pest and disease control, and you can achieve high yield.

How do you sow rice?

1. Sunning the seeds

The first step in promoting germination is sunning the seeds. Choose a sunny day and sun the rice seeds for one to two days, but note that you should not place the seeds directly on concrete, as this will scorch the seeds to death. It is best to prepare a tarpaulin, spread the seeds evenly on it, and turn them from time to time while sunning to ensure even exposure. Sunning the seeds can increase the seeds' water permeability and light permeability, and also has a sterilizing effect. After sunning is complete, place the seeds in a dry, cool place to cool for later use.

2. Seed selection

After sunning the seeds comes seed selection. Seed selection is mainly about choosing high-quality seeds and removing inferior seeds, so that after sowing the seedlings can grow robustly and uniformly. Clean water can be used for seed selection: first soak the seeds in water, and after the seeds absorb water they will sink, while empty-shell seeds will float, so you can select plump, high-quality seeds and improve the germination rate.

3. Soaking the seeds

There are many methods for soaking seeds, and common ones include soaking by day and exposing by night, intermittent soaking, and chemical soaking. When soaking, soak the seeds in warm water; generally the soaking time is 24-48 hours, and if the soaking time exceeds 48 hours it is unfavorable for germination. The specific time depends on the variety and water temperature, and generally the standard is when the seeds show white sprouts. Note that the chemical soaking method is better than ordinary methods, but you must pay attention to the concentration of the agent and the water temperature, and also change the water frequently or soak in running water. After soaking is complete, you can proceed to promoting germination.

4. Promoting germination

When promoting germination, it is not suitable to put the seeds in woven bags or expose them to the sun. You can choose double-layer gunny sacks; the gunny sacks are best disinfected and sterilized to ensure safety during germination, and the gunny sacks should be soaked wet. Then spread a layer of clean straw on the ground in a greenhouse environment, lay out the soaked gunny sacks, evenly scatter the seeds on them, and cover them with another gunny sack. Alternatively, you can directly put the seeds into a gunny sack with good air permeability. Keep the temperature between 35-38; when the temperature is high, turn them to dissipate heat, and when the temperature is low, find ways to raise the temperature. After one to two days, when the seeds show white sprouts and break through the hull, germination has succeeded and you can sow them.
