Pea shoots have a fresh, fragrant flavor, are crisp and delicious, are rich in nutrients, and also have a variety of therapeutic benefits. They are very popular with modern people, and as a leafy green vegetable they have excellent growing prospects. Today we will introduce the growing methods.

Step 1: Select healthy, plump peas, put the pea seeds in clean water and soak them for 24 hours. Soak until you can see small white dots, then take them out and rinse them two or three times with clean water.

Step 2: Put the pea shoots into a seedling tray. Line the seedling tray with 2 to 3 layers of gauze, moisten it with water, then evenly spread the soaked pea seeds on the gauze, taking care to keep the gauze moist,

Step 3: Frequently sprinkle water over the pea seeds to keep the bottom moist, place them in a dark spot and wait for them to sprout, and be sure to maintain good ventilation. The temperature should not be lower than 15°C. Basically, they will sprout in about two to three days.

Step 4: Once the pea shoots have grown taller, place them in a spot with light and ventilation. After exposure to light, the pea shoots will change from yellow to bright green seedlings.

There are two main things to pay attention to here: one is to sprout them in a dark place (you can cover the seeds with a layer of gauze to block light), and the other is to pay attention to keeping them moist.

Step 5: When the pea shoots have grown to about 10 cm and the top true leaves have just unfolded, they can be harvested. Cut them from 2-3 cm above the roots, and be sure not to pull them out by the roots. After that, you can water them moderately every day, and after about two to three days you can harvest bright green pea shoots again.
