First of all, regulate the moisture well. Wet the wood chips with water, and mix in 1 kg of sawdust fermentation agent bacterial culture per cubic meter of wood chips; second, build a pile for fermentation, sprinkling the bacteria while building the pile, with a pile height of 1.2-1.5 m and a width of 2 m; then do the fermentation turning well, turning four times; finally, when the wood chip fermentation is complete, the color has become uniformly brown.

1. Regulate moisture. Pour out the bagged raw material wood chips in the fermentation trough, wet them with water, and keep the suitable moisture at 60-65%, then add 1 kg of Jinbaobei sawdust fermentation agent bacterial culture per cubic meter of wood chips, and mix evenly.

2. Build a pile for fermentation. Sprinkle the bacteria while building the pile, with a pile height of 1.2-1.5 m (remember it must not be lower than 80 cm) and a width of 2 m. The length of the pile can be freely adjusted according to the amount of fermentation material; generally the length should not be less than 2 m, and the total volume of a single fermentation pile should not be less than 3 cubic meters. After the wood chip fermentation pile is built, insert a thermometer into the pile and observe its temperature changes.

3. Fermentation turning. About one week after the pile is built, the temperature rises above 60°C. When this high temperature lasts for 1-2 days, carry out the first pile turning. During turning, pay attention to the degree of mixing of the materials, so that the turning process also becomes a mixing process. After the first turning, the temperature again reaches a high temperature above 60°C, then carry out the second turning. During the turning process, if any locally drier material is found, spray it with water until the appropriate moisture content is reached. The third and fourth turnings are the same as the second turning. After that, it enters the wood chip fermentation stage, with the temperature at 45-50°C. At this stage, the fermentation pile can be turned another 1-2 times as needed, until the fermentation process is finally completed.

4. Inspection standards. After the wood chip fermentation is complete, the color has become uniformly brown, actinomycetes cover the entire material pile, and the material feels soft and elastic to the touch. At this point, it indicates that the wood chips have matured through fermentation, the entire fermentation process is complete, and the material can be inspected and taken out of the trough. After the wood chips are fully fermented and matured, they are all required to pass inspection of product physicochemical properties such as moisture, pH value, and EC value. Generally: pH 5.5-7.5, EC value less than 1.5, and moisture controlled at 30%-40%.
