When do Panzhihua mangoes generally ripen?
The earliest Panzhihua mango to ripen is the Irwin mango, which ripens around May, and a small amount of other mango varieties also come onto the market, such as coconut-scented, Guifei, and Jinhuang. These mangoes all hit the market in large quantities at the end of June. Following closely behind is the Jilu mango, which comes onto the market in July, and the Kate mango, which comes onto the market in large quantities in August. The Kate mango has the largest yield among Panzhihua mango varieties and comes onto the market the latest.
Precautions for eating mangoes:
1. Because mangoes have a relatively high sugar content, people with diabetes should avoid eating them.
2. Mangoes carry dampness and toxin, so people with skin diseases or tumors should avoid eating them.
3. People with an allergic constitution should eat them with caution, because mango leaves and mango juice can cause dermatitis in people with an allergic constitution, so people with an allergic constitution should be careful. After eating, promptly wash off the mango juice and flesh remaining on the skin around the lips to avoid an allergic reaction.
