Key Techniques for Broad Bean Cultivation and Detailed Field Management Methods
To cultivate broad beans, you need to select high-quality seeds and then sow them. During the seedling stage management, corresponding measures should be taken according to the growth conditions: timely prevention and control of pests and diseases, separate treatment of diseased plants, and attention to watering and topdressing.
Broad Bean Cultivation Techniques
1. Seed selection and sowing
When selecting broad bean seeds, choose high-yielding, disease-free, superior seeds. Before sowing, dig and plow the soil deeply to make it loose, which helps the roots expand and germinate to form root nodules; then using rhizobia inoculation can increase yield. The soil inoculation method can be used: take about 100 jin of soil from land where broad beans have been grown, and sprinkle it into the furrows at sowing time.
2. Seedling stage management
During the seedling stage, pay attention to the seedling condition, and adopt corresponding control methods according to the seedling condition. After sowing, cover with soil, and cover with rice straw to maintain temperature and humidity. At the mid-growth stage, do a good job of pest and disease prevention and control: treat diseased plants, remove diseased residues and weeds, and destroy them in a centralized manner. Spray pesticides to control pests, diseases and rodents, control moisture well, and tidy up branches and seedlings. Ensure the normal development of the plants. In the later stage, ensure the plants' water requirements, control the density well, and maintain good ventilation and light transmission in the field.
