To grow coffee beans, you need to choose a location with good drainage, such as flat land or hillsides, and start sowing in mid-to-late April each year. Half a month after sowing, the coffee beans will slowly grow, and weak seedlings can be removed; field management mainly depends on the growth of the coffee beans, and cultivating, weeding, fertilizing and watering are all tasks that must be completed.

Coffee Bean Growing Conditions

1. Land selection and preparation

To grow coffee beans, you can generally choose sandy soil with good drainage, such as flat land or hillsides, and it must also have good permeability. After selecting the land, evenly spread fertilizer across the field at a rate of two thousand jin per mu, and then carry out deep plowing.

2. Sowing time

The sowing time is generally mid-to-late April each year, when the temperature can basically reach around 15-20 degrees, meeting the germination requirements of coffee beans. When sowing, drill in rows with a row spacing of 60cm, cover with a thin layer of soil, and if the soil is relatively dry, water the soil once before sowing.

3. Reasonable dense planting

After half a month, the coffee bean seedlings can basically grow to three or four centimeters. You can first pull out some of the very weak seedlings in the field or those growing especially densely. When the seedlings grow to about ten to fifteen centimeters, you can carry out final thinning.

4. Field management

Field management of coffee beans is mainly based on fertilizing, watering and weeding. According to the growth situation, you can cultivate and weed to maintain the nutrients the coffee beans should have. Generally, after planting and watering, you need to wait until the flowering period to water again, and at the same time stop watering when the fruit is close to maturity. Since coffee beans do not need too many nutrients to grow, apart from the base fertilizer, generally only one topdressing is needed. When the seedlings grow to about thirty to forty centimeters, apply an appropriate amount of phosphate fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer.
