What are the main ingredients of Daoxi herbicide?

The active ingredients of Daoxi herbicide are 10 g/L penoxsulam and 50 g/L cyhalofop-butyl. It is an oil dispersion formulation that can efficiently remove barnyardgrass, Chinese sprangletop and other paddy field weeds, and is harmless to rice.

Precautions for using Daoxi herbicide:

1. Dosage

Before mixing the pesticide, be sure to shake it thoroughly. The dosage is determined by weed density and leaf age; for high density and older weeds, the dosage needs to be increased. Generally, for each additional leaf, add another 50 mL/mu on top of the above recommended dosage.

2. Water layer management

When applying the pesticide, a shallow water layer is needed (at least moist soil), but make sure that 2/3 of the weed stems and leaves are exposed above the water surface; within 1 day after application, re-flood the field and maintain a water layer of 3-5 cm for 5-7 days. During application and within 1-2 days after application, the water layer must not submerge the rice seedling hearts. Special attention should be paid when using it in rice seedling fields.

3. Weather effects

Under harsh conditions such as high temperature and drought, the efficacy may be reduced. Please avoid applying the pesticide under high temperatures, especially at noon; if the field is dry, appropriately replenish water before application; if low temperature (<15°C) occurs during application, leaves may briefly turn slightly yellow, which generally disappears within 2 weeks and has no effect on yield.

In water-direct-seeded paddy fields with good water management, where barnyardgrass is dominant and Chinese sprangletop is less common, the application time should be based on when barnyardgrass has fully emerged, and the dosage should be based on the leaf age of barnyardgrass.

In paddy fields with poor water management or dry-direct-seeded paddy fields, both Chinese sprangletop and barnyardgrass occur in relatively large amounts. The occurrence period of Chinese sprangletop is slightly later than that of barnyardgrass, or it occurs at the same time as barnyardgrass. The application time should preferably be based on when Chinese sprangletop has fully emerged, but the dosage needs to comprehensively refer to the leaf ages of both barnyardgrass and Chinese sprangletop.

4. Application time

After rice is sown and emerges, start applying the pesticide when weeds grow to the 2-3 leaf stage.
