What are the pineapple cultivation methods? An introduction to common planting methods
Pineapple is a sweet-and-sour tropical fruit. When pineapple is in season, it sells very well, and many people like to enjoy a piece of sweet-and-sour pineapple. In fact, there are several ways to grow pineapple. Below, let us look at what pineapple cultivation methods there are.
1. Single-row planting method
The most common and ordinary way to grow pineapple is single-row planting. It can be used on mountainous land where the terrain is relatively complex, and most pineapple cultivation in China uses single-row planting. This planting method is relatively easy and does not demand much from the geographical environment. In some hilly areas with relatively steep slopes, single-row planting can be used.
2. Double-row planting method
The double-row planting method is, put simply, a wide-and-narrow row planting method. This method can greatly increase pineapple yield and is a way of planting that makes rational use of land resources. If this planting method is used, ditches must first be opened and beds made. The bed width should be about 1 m, and the ditch width about 40 cm, which makes later field management convenient. On the bed surface, planting is carried out at a spacing of 40 cm per row. Some growers can adjust this to a spacing of about 20 cm according to actual conditions. This method can plant 3,000 to 4,000 pineapple plants per mu.
3. Three-row planting method
The three-row planting method belongs to the multi-row planting methods. This method is fairly similar to the double-row planting method. The planting bed surface should be kept at about 120, and the water ditch should be kept at about 50 cm. On the prepared bed surface, planting is done with a small row spacing of 20 to 40 cm. Growers can adjust the planting density according to actual conditions.
4. Four-row planting method
The four-row planting method for growing pineapple is actually just the three-row planting method with the bed surface width appropriately expanded. The four-row planting method is mainly carried out by wide-and-narrow rows. Generally, the planting bed surface is about 2 m. The wide row for planting is generally about 1 m, and the narrow row is generally about 50 cm. Planting is carried out at a plant spacing of 25 cm, and about 500 plants can be planted per mu.
In fact, there are quite a few ways to grow pineapple, and growers should choose the planting method according to the local environment and land conditions.
