How many jin per mu can the yield of snow peach generally reach?
The yield of snow peach per mu is above 3000 jin, and the actual yield varies depending on the region, planting conditions, management techniques and so on. In addition, snow peach is a very late-maturing peach variety, generally ripening around the Start of Winter (October-November).
Snow peach planting conditions:
1. Soil conditions
The soil layer should be relatively deep and fertile, and drainage and irrigation should be convenient. The groundwater level must be below 1 m; if the groundwater level is higher than 1 m, drainage works must be properly built to prevent the peach trees from being flooded due to poor drainage during the rainy season. Peaches can be cultivated in slightly acidic, neutral and slightly saline-alkaline soils.
2. Environmental conditions
Snow peach is adapted to a semi-humid climate, requires good soil permeability and likes fertilizer and water. If it is attacked by a cold current before entering dormancy, frost damage is likely to occur; after entering dormancy, it requires low-temperature weather of minus 8 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius for more than 30 days in order to flower and bear fruit normally. Its growth temperature is -25°C to 40°C.
3. Suitable planting areas
Shaanxi, Beijing, northern Jiangsu, Henan, southern Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, southern Gansu, western Sichuan, northern Anhui and other places.
Snow peach has a well-formed fruit shape, bright color and a crisp, sweet taste, and its sugar content ranks first among peach varieties nationwide. Friends who like to eat snow peaches must not miss its best season.
