When is the best time to transplant loofah seedlings? Master the best transplanting time
When loofah seedlings grow to 1-2 true leaves, they can be transplanted, leaving only one strong seedling per hole. After transplanting, spray with Xin Gao Zhi Mo, which can effectively prevent water evaporation from the seedling body.
Technical points for raising loofah seedlings
1. Seed soaking and disinfection
Before sowing and raising seedlings, the loofah seeds need to be sun-dried for 2 days, soaked in trisodium phosphate for 15 minutes for disinfection, then put the seeds into warm water at about 60 degrees and stir, and when the water temperature drops to 25 degrees, soak for another 5 hours and then they can be taken out.
2. Germination
Place the loofah seeds that have been soaked and disinfected at a temperature of about 25 degrees to begin germination, and rinse with water every day until the seeds show white, then they can be sown.
3. Sowing
Loofah is generally sown directly, and the survival rate of transplanting is very low. Put about 3 seeds into each seed hole, at a depth of about 2 cm, cover with soil and water after sowing, and cover with dry grass to keep moisture.
4. Seedling stage management
About 5 days after sowing loofah, seedlings will grow, and at this time the temperature should be appropriately lowered, and if insufficient water is found, water regularly, as well as later prevention of pests and diseases.
