What are the key points to note for growing grapes in a greenhouse?
Grapes are a fairly common fruit in our daily lives, with many varieties, and many people love to eat them. Many fruit growers, in order to capture consumers' interest, use greenhouse cultivation for grapes, so that everyone can eat sweet and juicy grapes all year round.
But achieving high yields of greenhouse grapes is not that easy. One thing that everyone needs to pay attention to is temperature control. When adjusting the temperature, you need to pay attention to moderate adjustment and also to doing it in stages. Let's learn about it together below.
I. Early stage of grape growth
This stage mainly refers to the period from grape bud break to before grape flowering. The daytime temperature inside the greenhouse can be raised to 23°C to 25°C. If there is good lighting and excellent insulation, it can even be raised to 27°C to 28°C. One thing everyone needs to note is that excessively high temperatures will cause uneven growth and development of grape seedlings, so when the temperature exceeds 25°C, measures should be taken to ventilate at the top. At night, pay attention to keeping warm, generally maintaining 7°C to 8°C.
II. Middle stage of grape growth
This stage mainly refers to the period around the grape flowering stage. This is the pollination period, and the pollination period is extremely sensitive to light requirements. During the day, ventilation should be carried out in a timely manner and sunlight temperature should be increased, with the best range being around 25°C to 28°C. If it exceeds 30°C, attention should be paid to ventilation and cooling. At night, attention should also be paid to keeping the grape plants warm, and generally maintaining 14°C or above is sufficient.
III. Fruit enlargement stage
This stage can also be called the grape ripening stage. At this time, the outside temperature also begins to rise slowly, and the temperature difference between inside and outside the greenhouse is relatively small, so the temperature inside the greenhouse is very easy to control. The daytime temperature inside the greenhouse can be maintained at 28°C to 32°C, the nighttime temperature at 15°C to 17°C, and the temperature difference controlled at above 10°C. This is beneficial for the coloring of the grapes in the greenhouse.
Overall, temperature regulation is very critical to the yield of greenhouse grapes. The importance of installing the film at the initial stage is very great, and later the next step of temperature regulation can be carried out according to the growth stage.
