When is the most suitable time to plant open-field eggplant?

1. Seed selection

It is best to choose early-maturing varieties, so that when grown they can capture the market early, and if the price is raised, they can eventually sell for quite a lot of money. Of course, some people prefer to sell during the off-season, relying on an advantage in quantity, and in this way they can also sell well.

2. Raising seedlings

Prepare the seedbed in advance; the best time is late January. Although temperatures are still relatively low at that time, the seedbed can just be finished before March. Of course, the seedbed needs to be started in a sunny cold frame with good insulation. After the seedlings have gradually emerged, we need to observe them slowly.

3. Transplanting

Promptly remove diseased seedlings and fill in the missing ones. As for the spacing between plants, after pricking out you can observe the eggplant's growth and adjust according to how well it is growing. Finally, arrange the transplanting work properly, and the temperature requirements must not be lowered.
