Celery is a common vegetable on the dining table, occupying a large share of the vegetable market, and it can be produced all year round. So, what are the greenhouse celery cultivation techniques?

1. Building the greenhouse and applying fertilizer

When selecting and preparing the land, it is best to choose alkaline or neutral soil for growing celery, because this kind of soil has a high organic matter content, relatively strong permeability, and good water resistance. Before raising seedlings, plow and prepare the land in advance, apply decomposed organic fertilizer, and at the same time add an appropriate amount of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer.

2. Promoting germination and sowing

One week before sowing, the seeds need to be treated. Soak the seeds in 48-degree warm water for half an hour, take them out and put them in cold water, and continue soaking for a day and a night. Then drain the water, wrap the seeds in gauze, and place them at a temperature of about 20 to 40 degrees to promote germination. Generally, after three days the seeds sprout and can be sown. When sowing, you can choose drilling or broadcasting.

3. Field management

For temperature management, the daytime temperature can be controlled at around 20 degrees, and the nighttime temperature can be controlled at around 10 degrees. As the air temperature drops, the temperature inside the greenhouse will also decrease. Water appropriately, and keep the seedling bed moist. Thin the seedlings once when the seedlings have 2 leaves. After the seedlings survive, carry out intertillage. When the seedlings grow to 5-7 leaves and the seedling height is 15-18 cm, they can be transplanted. After transplanting, strengthen fertilizer and water management, and promptly control pests and diseases to ensure normal growth and development.

When cultivating celery in a greenhouse, you must combine local characteristics and choose celery varieties with good quality and strong disease resistance.
